But yeah, MGS3 is super amazing. It's an amazingly flexible game in how you choose to approach every situation. Naked Snake and Eva are both charismatic heroes, the villains are fantastic, it's just a great game and a great story. Best one in the series, hands down.

But yeah, MGS3 is super amazing. It's an amazingly flexible game in how you choose to approach every situation. Naked Snake and Eva are both charismatic heroes, the villains are fantastic, it's just a great game and a great story. Best one in the series, hands down.

Gameplay-wise? Absolutely. Narrative? I think MGS1 is on par.

...is that actually the reason? I thought it was because the Smash games have E/E10+/T ratings.

I sincerely hope that isn't the reason. I can understand the sentiment for serious discussion but enforcing it on people is rather elitist. And there's plenty of places on this site where the discussion isn't particularly serious. This is a fun social thread where we talk about anime, waifus, pokemon, games and all sorts of other random, silly topics. I don't think it's the end of the world if we're not all brushed up on our Shakespearean English.

There's also the fact that everyone knows what's behind those stars so what is it even accomplishing in the end?

Do you think Roy is like #1 on tier list better than Fox kind of stupid, or just like top-tier "**** this" kind of stupid? Out of curiosity.

i have roy @ #3 in the tier list after fox and rob, but roy is by far the most frustrating to play against because its so obvious that he was just given a bunch of hilariously dumb gimme-buffs for no reason. why does dtilt tip sweetspot? why does up b trade with marth's full range dtilt (thats REALLY disjointed)? why is CF upthrow > knee @ 130 considered stupid but roy dtilt > jump > jump > bair kill is fine? why does his sweetspot out-prioritize his sourspot (almost everything in the game is sour > sweet)? why is his recovery the least interactive attack since brawl minus? seriously, you can go watch lunchables and sethlon vs other top level players and they almost never get edge guarded. atm you basically need to hard KO roy and hes much better at doing it back.

its very apparent that whoever tested this char horribly underrates dashdancing. if marth was even close to as good as roy in this game i would make everyone quit.

Hey guys, apparently the new FE game is getting rid of weapon usage limits.

They're also adding a new super easy casual mode where all units, if they die, are revived next turn. I think it's for people who just want the story stuff, I suppose. I'm not opposed, it's a new feature for whoever wants to use it.

Weapon usage limits are a little iffy though. Even if I like the general idea of not having to micromanage weapons as much, that kind of makes it so that there's no good way of balancing weapons... You just arm everyone with super nice weapons and use the best thing every time no matter what. Hopefully they'll have speed vs. power balance a little more than they already do, or make the better weapons more expensive or rarer to compensate.

I was wondering because some people from Chicago told me yesterday that they thought Roy was #1, and Pooch said that "Fox is barely top 10" which is... I just stopped talking to them about tier lists at that point.
