@FPSWalrus there are no characters you can win with by learning tech skill unless your opponents are straight bad
There are very few video games in fact where you beat decent players by just learning the game's controls

Choosing to be salty? Is it really something a person choses actively?
Well, the act of expressing your salt in comments and actions is definitely a choice of oneself; whether to speak bile at an opponent over thinking about ways to improve against them in the future. As for being salty in the sense of being disappointed with an outcome, that is just natural response and is understandable.

maybe heavy is a lower number than light? It would make sense if fox was a 5 and bowser was a 2 or something like that.
Weight values are as follows:
Super Heavyweight:
1) Bowser [118]
2) DK [114]
3) DDD [112]
4) Yoshi [111]

Heavyweight:
5-6) Samus/Charizard [110]
7) Ganon [109]
8) Wario [107]
9) ROB [106]
10-11) Snake/Ike [105]

Middleweight:
12-13) C. Falcon/Link [104]
14-16) Mario/Lucario/Luigi [100]
17) Mewtwo [97]
18) Ness [94]

Welterweight:
19-22) Peach/Zelda/Sheik/Olimar [90]
23) Ice Climbers [88]
24) *Marth [87]

Lightweight:
25-30) Diddy/Ivysaur/Roy/ZSS/Toon Link/Wolf [85]
31-32) Squirtle/Sonic [82]
33-36) Falco/Lucas/Pikachu/Pit [80]

Featherweight:
37-38) Fox/G&W [75]
39) Kirby [74]
40) MK [70]
41) Jigglypuff [60]

*All characters lighter than this weight fall down from Fox's shine

Bowser being 118 should take less KB than Fox being 75

Damnit, the KB formula is acting wierd...

The one from here (http://smashboards.com/threads/tool...n-hitlag-shieldstun-calculation-v1-11.324878/) as well as the SmashWiki both seem right, but the resulting KB given is HIGHER the higher the target's WEIGHT is. Which is...wrong lol, it should be lower the bigger the weight, right?
That can't be correct, the part of the formula where the weight variable is appearing is antiproportional to (100+weight), which means (100+weight) would be somewhere in the denominator and an increase in weight would lower the knockback. Are you sure you set the brackets correctly?

Code:
(((((Target_Percent*0.1) + (Target_Percent*Attack_Damage*0.05)*(200/(Weight+100)) * 1.4)+18)*KBG*0.01)+BKB
Basing this off of SB's post currently

Actually, let me work this out in my head here...

http://www.ssbwiki.com/images/5/57/SSBBKnockbackFormula.png

% = 50
Damage = 10
Weight = 100
KBG= 75
BKB = 90

50/10 = 5
50*10 = 500/20 = 25 + 5 = 30
100 + 100 = 200 -> 200/200 = 1
30 * 1 = 30 -> 30 * 1.4 = 42
42 + 18 = 60
60*75 = 4500
4500 + 90 = 4590
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
% = 50
Damage = 10
Weight = 110
KBG= 75
BKB = 90
50/10 = 5
50*10 = 500/20 = 25 + 5 = 30
110 + 100 = 210 -> 200/210 = 0.9524
30 * 0.9524 = 28.572 -> 28.572 * 1.4 = 40.0008
40.0008 + 18 = 58.0008
58.0008*75 = 4350.06
4350.06 + 90 = 4440.06
Ok, so that pans out.... where did I mess up the coding...
The formula should be correct. I don't see why weight should work inversed here.
Alright, the order got fixed somehow by doing this:
Code:
            ((((
                ((integer_p/10) + ((integer_p*integer_d)/20))
                *(200/(integer_w+100))
                *1.4) +18)
                *integer_s)
                +integer_b)
however, now it scales wildly (an increase from 100 to 110 weight went from 4590 -> 1440 KB taken instead of the 4590 -> 4440.06 I calculated on paper... wtf)
I lost in PM 1v1s but it was fun, I entered Melee here too so I'll see how that goes.
Venue was already crowded with PM and then the Melee players showed up. Loosers bracket took forever because there were like 8 setups for 50+ people, had to DQ after one match in Melee because I had to go.
