I never played it, but I watched it being beaten by many people during its first few years after release and it's still so good.

I'm a pretty socially liberal minded person I guess, most people are. Politically I hate "big government" though and think more true- federalism would have been a much better way for the country to develop. Its far to late now, but our whole two party system is horrible and needs to change.

It always feels dirty when anything turns into a political discussion but I'm sooo bored. But yeah I'm kind of old-fashioned in a lot of my beliefs but I totally agree that bipartisanism has grown utterly stagnant. I think both lefts and rights feel this way.

I was reading some of the hot arguments in the SRT results thread from a couple years back. So intense, everyone is so smart. And of course it's ALL about Metaknight. And it seems the popular opinion was that his brokenness was irremediable. I can't believe that one character effed up the entire competitive experience of Brawl. How miserable.

I still don't understand why the passions and sentiment in that debate weren't also in Melee and how only three characters were viable in any tournament venue. It was the bane of my competitive melee existence. I guess the gap with MK was that wide, and the fact that just ONE char. being toppest teir was just a line-crosser.

The "consequences" though should never be so extreme. People should be able to say what they want and not fear being physically hurt, for example. EG we need to hate KKK members for yelling the N-word out loud at a public park and yell back maybe, but we need to let them do it and do our best not to attack them.

I dunno who said "While I don't agree with what you say I'll defend to the death your right to say it".

I guess I just hate this sentiment some people have as if there are some things you just can't say and if you do you deserve to get your ass kicked. Because that's just not true, ever. Not in a free nation.
