inspiration, motivation, drive, whatever you want to call it

as it stands now there is nothing motivating me to practice, melee is just something that i play and i'm kinda good at, what do i have to prove? am i just expected to prove something to a community that doesn't care one way or another? at some local that only a handful of people view the results?

**** that, money, hype, dignity, pride, honor are all more powerful motivators than placing better at a tournament for me

there's no competition any more, and if there is it's small scale, and it's nothing risked
you talk about it with your crew, amongst your crew, and only your crew 'oh i can beat this guy'
that's it
then when it doesn't happen, your crew is like w/e, cause they got their own **** to take care of

embarrassment is a poweful motivator, which i'm lacking
equally as powerful is causing upsets
combined i HOPE these two give me enough of a motivation to get a **** ton better
