Name came from when i was obsessed with the manga 'Psycho Busters'
Chronodivers are the highest class of psychic. I just liked the whole time bending abilities the main character had
And Lokii was the name of an OC i was working on (...who i havent really drawn in a loooong while)...so i took it as my 'pen name' and gamer tag.
Obvs, i took the name from Norse myths

Depends on what game... in FFT Phoenix Downs only give you like 10 or 11 HP on revival. :(

No one posted while I was away? Tsk, I'm disappoint.

I'll take this opportunity to make a bloglike post.

Every year around this time in November, the School of Art & Art History holds a schoolwide art show called Art Bash. Every major like Painting, Drawing, Ceramics, Photography, etc. has their own little area set up among the Fine Arts building complex.

So since I'm a senior this year, I had a direct part in planning how Digital Media's area would be set up for the show, which was yesterday. We were going to have smaller experimental video games set up for people to play, keychains made from the laser cutter, another video game we'd made with network compatibility, green screen technology, and even our own commercial advertising our major. We were planning on having one of the best shows Digital Media's had in years.

To be frank, Murphy's Law just tore through us in almost every way possible.

ArtBash begins at 6 PM. Less than an hour after the show started, we had a pretty bad power outage that knocked out the electricity in most of our area. Half of our video game setups didn't work. We couldn't get power running properly back to the green screen. Our network video game wouldn't even import properly to the computers to work. We were in the middle of upoading our commercial when the power went out so all of that progress was lost as well.

After that our show was mostly some video work, half of our video game setups, and keychains/objects made from the laser cutter/3D printer.

Needless to say, by the end of the night the seniors were pretty much left wondering what in the world all of our hard work for the past few months had been for. Probably one of the biggest letdowns I've felt in a really long time. :glare: Hope everyone else had a better Friday evening than I did.

That's horrible. It must feel like losing a painting you spent many hours on but you forgot to save and then the program crashed, except much worse and it's not even your fault.

It's good that at least some of the things could work.

If it makes you feel any better, I thought the video games that were available were really well done.

So, I just spent hours upon hours in GIMP, being a noob, but creating something that I find to be amazing for my skill with the mouse:

The final result:

I made this by first copying the lines of the original:

After that I coloured it all, using shading. I was going for lineless. Here is with the lines, though:

I made him a little bit fatter because I wanted to put in a bit of personal touch too LOL.

I am so pleased with the end result, using nothing but my mouse =D

Nice Flygon's dude :D
Mouse art ftw *high fives*

Also, do you apply lines afterwards, or is that just the order you post stuff in?
Because that's so strange to me

Not as creepy as my one bud.

He applies the faces of his classmates to his nude forms...

Doing this

Creepyness part 2

idk unless it's like really precise line art I'm indifferent. You can take any amount of time with stuff to make it look pretty lol
I'm kind of raging because some of the computers aren't compatible with Wacom tablets, so I'm forced to make my mouse do all the dirty work.
It's like forcing yourself to do drawings with your left hand I guess.

I can't draw anything with a mouse haha... it's even worse when I'm using a trackpad.

I finished a drawing! I'm so happy :D It's my first time cel-shading, took way longer than I thought it would.

Nice work Global :D
Your cell shading is spot on. The way his back is curved is throwing me off a bit though, but that might just be because you ended the line work before the border. *shrug*

He looks like he has a bit of a hunch because the outermost arc of his back is too low.
You want to get his back curve closer to what you have for the curve of his chest. In human figures the back is out furthest at the shoulder blades, then slopes inwards.
So his 'shoulder blades' are quite low if you look again.
Or he just has really bad posture

Very nice lighting and linework, needs more background though. Why are Pokemon characters so fun to draw?

Oh yeah, Happy Thanksgiving ppl. Try not to get fat this weekend. :awesome:

I'm already fat, so it doesn't make a difference how much I eat.

Have a good holiday.

Thanks Neon and Lokii!

I love the hair Lokii, so sharp :3

Happy Thanksgiving guys! I already eat like a pig normally (it's a wonder I'm not overweight) so today won't make a difference.
