That's not the point. What if I don't want to pay $60 to buy a game at launch? What if I want to wait 6 months down the line and buy it used from a friend? What's wrong with that? Nothing.

It just shows just greedy game companies are these days. They are only entitled to the $60 you pay for the game and nothing else. (Including DLC I guess...)

The idea of "project $10" or "online passes" just serves to hurt consumers who want to save money on their games and want 100% access to all the features on the game disc. (I already pay for XBL gold, why would I need to pay $10 to play the game online/access the game's online MP features?)

It's a shame that Sony is starting to do this now on their games. I really hope this doesn't catch on...(we all know it will eventually...)
I don't think you get my point, I agree with you completely. I was saying that it won't even be worth it to buy used games anymore because the price of a used game + online pass will most likely be close to the price of a new version of the same game, and that shouldn't happen.

Bad gateway bad gateway...gawd...what is up today with that crap? That wouldn't be a bad idea about special prizes. Trophies are just for bragging rights as well as a check list of what games the players completed. It's nice to know I'm not the only one having some trouble with Wipeout.

Not to detract from the activeness of the what game should I get thread or anything, but what are some PS3 games with lengthy story modes, or a story that'll keep you engaged even if it is short, like Vanquish?
I'm interested in getting either that Hunted Demons Forge for the co-op, Heavy Rain, or Mass Effect 2. I assume ME2 will be the longest of the bunch, and I enjoyed the demo/know its meant to be incredible, but I'm a sucker for split screen and story focused games XD.

Leading on to my next point; why are PS3 games so short? It may be primarily due to my selection of games, which is mostly 3rd person shooters and Bayonetta type stuff, but out of all the games I have, the only ones that took me over 15 hours were Bioshock, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, I'm well past that on RDR but haven't finished, LBP, inFamous, and MGS4 lol- out of like 40 games.

I was going to sell my PS3 but then I got Little Big Planet and now I'm glad I didn't sell it.

Because a lot of players don't care about story/single player. All they want is a good multiplayer component.

Just bought inFamous 2 yesterday but my power has been out all day and still isn't back so I haven't been able to play it. I was really looking forward to it too ><. Sometimes I hate weather.

True. I'm the type of person who prefers split screen or local co-op, which is too much of a rarity these days for my liking. Multiplayers good and all, but unless they've got a strong story component, like Red Dead or Uncharted, I'd believe it to be better if they just released the title as multiplayer only, a la MAG.

I've heard that Heavy Rain is really short. I've also heard that it's a game you should rent, rather than buy.
Yeah, I was wondering whether it'd be short, considering it's basically a point and click by the looks of it.

inFamous, inFamous 2, GoW, GoW2, Gow3, FFXIII, Spiderman SD, and Dragon Age.

Ninja Storm 2 is next!
Congrats on the platinums lol. I just need like 150 blast shards and an inFamous playthrough for inFamous I think, but God of War can go screw itself; I was like 40 red orbs off getting the Army of Hades to max to get the Seeing Red trophy -_-.....

I'm wondering if I should bother fixing my 60 GB PS3 I got on release. The laser died so it cannot read any disc. I never had a chance to try and get it fix. I bought another one a while ago. Although I still want to get the old one working again.

Catherine looks so interesting...but I've never been a fan of dating games...

Maybe a rent, but I might get a bit annoyed if there are like 10 different endings to get.
