Man I hope FAE joins as us well as Mekos for our Lucas spree's.

They told me I could've easily been top 5 on Brawl, I'm looking to be top 3 in this game.
Now that I can travel, and get experience offline, I have nothing holding me back. Except money LOL

If Mekos and FAE come back as top Lucas users I would be so happy. Also!

Hey everyone! I'm feeling ecstatic that my Brawl main is back in action! I'm not finished with MOTHER 3 yet, but every second of playing that game makes me love Lucas even more! I'm confident I'll be the best Lucas player ever! Just try and top me!

Lucas will also likely have the most reliable jab lock, I'm sure dair will have crazy setups again.

That Bair spike looks a little hard to land but super rewarding. Nair has a lingering hitbox and PK thunder looks really useful for gimping. I'm predicting that edgeguarding offstage will play a huge role in Lucas' playstyle.
By the way, I remember reading somewhere that Sakurai said all DLC after Mewtwo will be free. Since it's Sakurai, (the same guy who denied they were working on anything other than mewtwo ) I don't believe one word of that.

Now that I think about it, I'm pleasantly surprised that Lucas is coming out in June. I honestly figured that Mewtwo wouldn't get released until June (since that would still be considered Spring), but not only is Mewtwo coming out in two weeks, but in the same time frame that I figured I'd have to wait for Mewtwo, we're also getting Lucas!

Plus, E3 is right around the corner (doubt we'll get any DLC announcements then, given that the poll doesn't end until October, but that would be the perfect time to announce Wolf, Snake, or a revamped version of the Ice Climbers), which gives me even more stuff to look forward to!

He might have left Lucas out intentionally because people always complain about clone characters taking up slots and development time, but who knows

Cause I mean to be fair Lucas is about as much of a clone as Wolf was.

As far as I remember, Lucas and Wolf were cut because of time constraints. Remember, Bowser Jr almost didn't make it in because of that.

Lucas and Wolf were probably low priority characters to include and so as time ran out they had to be cut.

Wolf was probably the most unique clone in Brawl, followed by Lucas imo.
Regardless, the fact that Lucas and Mewtwo are both back indicates that even though those characters were rarely ever used competitively in their appearances, and in Lucas' case mostly unknown in his respective game, that doesn't mean that they don't have a chance.

Lucas and Greninja are probably going to be co-mains. I've been hunting for a secondary for months and now Nintendo has provided me exactly with the one I needed so I figured I'd have an avatar with both Greninja and Lucas sharing the same space together.

In all fairness, Mother 3 did still have some presence in Smash 4 even without Lucas. Some Mother 3 content that were assets in Brawl were reused as trophies (IE, Pokey/Porky, Ultimate Chimera, Lucas himself, etc), as well as music (IE Porky's theme, Mother 3 Love Theme, etc).

One of my few Brawl mains is back ! Lucas was really fun in Brawl but Nair, one of my favorite moves, wasn't that reliable because of SDI. But now that SDI is gone, I'm pretty hyped up. Especially if PSI Magnet maintains the momentum after PK Fire from Brawl, and even more so if there is a Damage+Knockback version of it like Void Reflector that can zip around the stage with PK Fire.

Well, it is much less prevalent. You can't get out of multihit moves so easily anymore.

Probably not even that either. It's just that most multihit moves (aerials) now have autolink angles, as opposed to in Brawl where I think like only two hitboxes in the entire game had them (interestingly, I think they were on Lucas and Wolf). See: Rosalina FAir, Greninja/Sheik UAir, Pikachu FAir/BAir, Game & Watch BAir.

I just downloaded a emulator and Mother 3 to play on my laptop! Took me forever too because all the emulators on Mac don't let you ****ing save... but I finally found it. On the other hand I've already decided on saving money for a GBA and getting the English cartridge of Mother 3 too so I can relive the "real" experience. Currently trying to finish my playthrough on Earthbound.
