so i got to play against co in tourney this weekend and it dawned on me how much smarter he really is than me, which is upsetting. i made very few mistakes, played a very good game but he still beat me solidly. and by solidly i mean low percent last stock. i felt that i did a lot better than what i actually did. and then after the tourney i got to play again with him like 4-5 matches and still couldnt beat him(mind u i was using snake vs ddd). honestly guys i dont think im ready or nearly as good as i need to be to place well at MLG after playing co.

i dont know what to do now. like im working on getting smarter and being less predictable while trying to be able to adapt in tournament but it feel as if ive come to a wall. this is very depressing.

Hey! Don't give up. You still have time before MLG, and it's okay. Don't be depressed. There are a number of things that might have been happening. Like, you were nervous, or you had a bad game day. If it was either of those, work on creating senarios in your head and calming yourself down in a tight spot.

Whatever you do, don't panic during a match. It can cause some mistakes you won't see, but your opponent definitly will. Find your "spiritual center" and focus on that. Nothing around you, just a simple friendly with someone you play with all the time, and you KNOW you can beat.

If you don't need audio cues to tell you what the opponent is doing, use earphones. They can drown out an outside crowd and help you focus. (Beware making yourself deaf.)

Now, someone else come in and do a better job of being supportive, because that tends to happen to me a lot...

i know this feeling, it happened after i played judge and shugo(its more so i couldnt keep up with what they where doing). just gotta dig down and push through it. just gotta be persistent about it.

Gallax, watch vids. Trust me. Try to predict what people will do before they do it. Watch them vs snake so you know the kind of thing people react to. If in the vid you can predict their rolls/spotdodges/attacks, you should be able to predict it when you are playing to. It really helps.

If not, start playing slower. You will see more opportutnites. I used to get mindraped by Seibrik, but I started playing slower against him and now I can read what he is doing. It is a lot easier now than before.

Also, why don't you use Pika vs D3? Snake vs D3 is one match that CO will NEVER lose to you in. The only snake that MAYBE has a chance against him is Ally.

That's exactly how I felt when I played Diem..... his MK is so stupidly aggressive and fast, my mind literally couldn't keep up. ;; Anyways.

@Gallax: ESAM's advice seems to be the most helpful, tbh. And he's right: go Pika. It's much easier matchup-wise, and most pro DDDs know the Snake MU too well for the average Snake to beat them..... no offense.

Let yourself be emo for a day or two, then get your mind right and focus on breaking through this wall. Everybody has them at some point, but only the strongest players have the determination to move through them. You don't wanna be just another scrub who gave up when things got "too hard."

- 5/8 @Monsters Arcade: 3/27-

I'm sure results will be up soon. But it's still going on.

Did so great at start, and gay-eliminated by a crewmate. AGAIN.

It's all yours.

Please keep up with it (or at least tell me if you don't feel like updating anymore)...... I've had enough of people taking over stuff, then letting it die. -_-

I haven't added results from this past weekend, so that's all you. =D
