The designs. For the most part, they designed well off the concepts they were working with. That's what I meant by "put thought into them."

There's a difference between making a grass snake that looks kinda cool and taking the same idea but drawing the first thing that pops into your mind.

I dunno. Just looks to me like they're being lazy.

I set a chanlege to myself last year to draw them all but it seems that with black and white Im never going to make it. Hmm I wonder if there will be a Lemur pokemon finally?

it wasnt so much of the originality to me as much as most of the first 2 gens had pokemon that i could see as real animals, and had realistic looks to them.

Elephants (more, if you count Phanpy and Donphan) and Zebras would be cool. We already got pseudo lions, apes, and giraffes, so why not?

And we just barely got a friggin' shark.

And Ghastly's sprite, no, ALL 1st Gen sprites fall to the might of Haunter.

GSCHGSS also technically had the largest amount of navigational space of all of the main games.
RBYFRLG is too small, GSCHGSS is too small when you count only Johto, while Kanto for the most part remains unchanged, RSE have too much ****ing water (and that atrocious add on of the Dive HM), and DPPl were...

I can't find anything "wrong" with DPPl's right away. It was the most enjoyable to me.
Except that **** snow path, but it had some fun music to listen to if you had enough repels to let the song play.

Let's see how fun this region will be to navigate.

I only wish for no more god**** Zubat and Geodude caves. Lord knows we've suffered so much of it already.

Agree 100% with this, but GSC is still my favorite.

DPPl's region was good, but it was really just more of the same.

I always thought the trek through the fog prior to Celestic was pretty fresh, and this is also the first time the player has actually had to walk in actual SNOW rather than just an ice cave.

The torn world was trippy as hell too.

The gym puzzles were easy, but they were always a treat to look at as well.

The same? I wouldn't say that.

Kid friendly anime = kid friendly sprites.

Too bad it only got REALLY kiddy after the second season.

I've never played platinum, so I can't comment on the torn world. XD

Snow and fog was cool, but we need more than that, lol.

Every gen had bad pokemon, and the later gens had some good ones.

For me, 3rd Gen Pokemon were crap too...The Starters+ handful of others were bad$$, every other pokemon from 3rd gen was garbo...

5th Gen starters look like **** right now...I hope they evolve into something sweet. I hope to see better pokemon from 5th Gen overall

...I actually like the otter already though. Though it is a bit over the top, I really also have a soft spot for freckles....
I always go fire starter though, I wonder what fire pigs final form will look like. Nothing can top the sheer greatness of Typhlosion.

Charizard is boss, Typhlosion is the ****, and Infernape is a freakin FIRE MONKEY.
