Noctowl is like the worst bird pokemon ever.

Gen 3 gave us Swellow. Gen 4 gave us the powerful staraptor. Gen 5 gave us braviary.

Dem birds so powerful compared to the rest.

It sucks, but it really looks like they were pandering to only the most popular pokemon.
Amphy, Mawhile, and absol getting a buff is neat though, I guess, but dang. I was really looking forward to a mega-dunsparce or something.

What's a mega poke?

Pokemon X and Y have a new concept referred to as mega-evolution. Not much is known about it yet aside from the points that it makes the recipient significantly more detailed and/or powerful.
