CGing on wifi isn't too hard with Pika unless you have a lag spike. You just have to know the buffer window to dash/grab

You betcha! The world is called Prankster's Paradise, and like a typical KH world it will be following the plot of the movie (somewhat). That being said, part of it will of course take place in Monstro again.

Nintendo's published the entire Mother series. Plus they partially developed.

In addition, the other two development companies are both friendly. Brownie Brown's owned and funded by Nintendo, and HAL's basically a second-party developer.

Haha, no. That's not what he meant at all (I hope). Nintendo didn't just not bring Mother 3 over because they're "stupid" or "jerks", or whatever it is most people seem to think. Read this, it should explain quite a bit as to why the Mother series was treated the way it was, including Mother 2 not being on the VC.

[EDIT]: Did some digging. Found a thread on Starmen.net that went into it.

Can't link; on the Wii. First result in a Google search for "pop culture references in Mother 3."

Truthfully didn't see a whole lot in there to be worried about. Most of the references seem veiled enough, like DCMC or the various things the Pig Masks homage/riff on. Being set in a world made from whole cloth helps plenty too.

I can understand why the number of references in EarthBound would have lawyers chomping at the bit, so I get why VC gets no EB love.

That said, I think a much more likely catalyst for the lack of a Mother 3 release outside of Japan is more likely the abysmal sales record EarthBound had anywhere but Japan.

For those playing at home, sales for EB hit 300k in Japan and 140k stateside. Worse, Mother 3 fell foul of supply and demand in Japan something hardcore.

I'm not much of a businessman, but if I had a game that sold alright in one market but half as well in another, and then produced a sequel whose sales disappointed...

You see where I'm going here.
