I want to play in a lobby tonight, before I start Fire Emblem tomorrow.

I already haven't touched P4U in about a week, I don't want to get worse. :(

I seemingly manage to miss every single session that happens on here for the past month.

I haven't been on mainly due to my internet being really bad this winter for unknown reasons.

That and every time you guys say you want to play, I'm out playing smash haha.

I really need to get back on this game sometime before EVO.

@Minato, biweekly smash meet up tonight lol

Lobby's up right now and will last for awhile. I'll go on auto pass for Fire Emblem dinner though.

No worries.

And guys, I think I need to reset my router. I'll probably do a few more games before dinner, reset and invite everyone in, and then auto pass.

lol Livewire, I seriously hope you didn't save that match with me. No clue why you would.

The funny thing is I know exactly what one you're talking about and nah, I didn't. That pause was "pry hands and face off of TE Stick and wonder how I messed up so badly".

Yeah, GGs everyone. Hm...I feel I was inconsistent due to that I'd sometimes get thrashed and at one point actually had a decent streak going. So, I'm in that mental bit where I'm unsure whether to call it a good night or a bad night in terms of if I learned anything (that one weird instance where I must've had a 5 second period of berserk insanity against Minato when he was in the corner aside).

Livewire. Your damage comes from throw, DP, and AoA. lol
Mostly the latter. I counted like 10 in one round.

Also, not sure why you're doing Chie's oki into roll. It's not a mixup like Narukami. It's only used for screen positioning.

Yeahhh....that's that one instance I was thinking of. That being said, I think if nothing else I got better after the first couple of games overall (slipped into the AoA thing a bit). I WANT to be able to say that at times there was lag/slowdown/input lag, but despite the fact that I just brought it up, I truthfully don't think A. that there was, or B. that it's a valid excuse even if there WAS those things. As for Chie's oki into roll? I kinda got this feeling at times that staying there with it would get me punished for whatever reason.

Not gonna pretend I was close to perfect on things, but I was trying to approach some situations or problems differently than I had prior when they didn't work out properly in hopes of getting a different result. While it sometimes didn't do that, I hope that at least on one or two occasions it showed that I was actually thinking.

You did more AoAs as the lobby went on.

You're supposed to do mixups during your Chie oki. Staying there won't get you hit unless you don't block their DP or something.

Err....I'm not too sure on the AoA thing. I feel as it went on there were more matches where I didn't excessively use them than ones where I did, but that the couple of times that I did in a round, it'd be overly excessive a bit. I think with the oki, I actually am worried about being DP punished since I know some beat it out, and I feel almost like Yosuke's DP beats everything since I SWEAR it sent me down from the air and tripped me off of a low j.2D or j.C or something like that.

GGs everyone. Today, I felt like devoting everything to integrating some new tech in my game, so I didn't care if I dropped combos, lost, and stuff, lol.

Yeah, you REALLY did use AoA a lot. Like, whenever I guarded your first two 5a's, you'd go straight to AoA, and it'd hit me because igdaf. Also, when you were facing Tec's Aigis (one of the ones you won), pretty much a good 95% of your damage was from AoA to Launch and air combo. Again, using the same method you used on me.

Just so you know so you can fix it.

You used it in every block string.

Every, one of them.

Anyway GGs everyone, twas fun.

I was trying to do my hw in the middle so if I took forever to respond, I'm sorry for that.

*sigh* Oh for crying out loud you guys. I know you're being helpful and all that so I'm not like offended or upset over it, it's just a wee bit frustrating at times to find 90% of the time you think that you've had moments where you were really doing well and learning things, it goes all "lol, NOPE".

Note: This isn't to say that I think you're wrong, just that I legit thought I wasn't doing it nearly that much.

GGs, everyone. I might do a lobby tomorrow night (which Crusayer might dodge). It depends since I have homework and midterms to study for.

I DODGE ALL OF THE SESSIONS.

You have no idea how mad I've been this winter since my internet's been horrible. Now I know how Rutger feels like. I used to netplay melty every night with a friend in cali and that's been compromised with my ****astic internet ;_;. Like, freaking 13 delay. It doesn't even make sense, no one's even home.

On slightly unrelated stuff, how hard do you guys think it would be to build a keyboard stick? I'm sorta scared of the wiring.

Keyboard stick? Crusayer, more like Craysayer. Sounds awesome though, but I don't really know the logistics of it.

Livewire, I haven't played against you recently, but it seems like you get frustrated when you lose, and then you start autopiloting. It's okay to get frustrated, but you still need to think when you're playing, otherwise you wouldn't go for AoAs all the time. Think about what you're trying to do, then try to carry it out. I'm not very good at thinking on the fly very well either, but it's something you have to learn.

Also, I still stand by my statement that you should stick with one character for now until you get more comfortable with them and the game.

With Minato saying I AoA'd more as it went on, that would probably refer to the times I was getting less frustrated as aside from the first 2 or 3 games I didn't really feel frustrated all that much, and at the time wasn't thinking on how often I AoA'd because I was thinking on all the other things I was doing differently, like trying to counter anti-airs better, trying to bait out DPs, block better, dropping combos less, etc. I DID actually stick with Chie the way through after doing the first two games with Narukami who it's like...I sometimes feel I do better with despite Chie being the one I WANT to be better with, if that makes sense (spoiler: it probably doesn't at all, lol).

Late edit: Also, happy b-day Rutger!

Happy Birthday, Rutger. Have fun with Fire Emblem.

What's your speed and everything on speedtest.net? And what's your upload and download speed when you're configuring your internet connection on your PS3 setting? Rutger's connection's actually great again after using a wired connection. Feels like night and day.

It's just that you play really weird and you're unaware if it. All you do is blockstring into AoA, mash DP during people's blockstrings, or wakeup throw. I know you saved the matches where you won, and I suggest watching them so you realize what we're talking about. As a side note, you need to start blocking low and reacting to highs instead of the other way around. And stop forward teching all the time, it makes me feel like you're holding forward the whole match.

Yeah, switching to a wired connection fixed pretty much everything for me.
