I know how you feel on stuff like that. Sometimes my movement winds up going like that. Hell, I normally have my IAD attempt turn out like 866 instead of the proper one. So don't feel too bad.

Random question though. Anybody know or have an idea on the ratio of players that use Octo-gates instead of square ones? I'm just curious how popular it generally is and if anybody of note really uses them or if most stick with square, as square gate is certainly capable of getting things done easy enough.

Also, good luck to Minato and Aisight today (and hopefully tomorrow).

Not nearly as many players use octogate. And even fewer use circle gate.

Octogate is fine and all (I've tried it), but I prefer square.

Circle gate? I didn't even know that existed. I admittedly can't see many players that aren't say...Zangief mains using that.

And a side note, I was looking through Challenge mode last night and realized there were a couple of characters that had ones I'd never touched. I randomly decided to spend like 20-30 minutes on Mitsuru's, and while I don't have that much of a desire to play her...I can see why some consider her 'dumb'. Then kinda went back to the usual for a bit.

Yeah, I can't wait until they update P4A so that they can nerf Mitsuru to hell we can get some new characters!

I don't want them to nerf anyone really. Just buff some of the weaker characters.

Maybe make Bufudyne not air-unblockable, dat shizz is dumb.

I'd naturally think people would want Labrys and Yukiko to get buffed a bit, but any other ideas, or thoughts on how you'd think they'd buff them if they actually did do an update? And who would they put in as a new character anyway? Rise? I mean, a couple of people on the GFAQs board for this game suggested people named Yukari and Ken, but I have no idea who the heck those two are.

Play P3, and you'll know. Yukari and Ken would be interesting, considering that Yukari fights with a bow, and Ken with a spear. Junpei would need to pretty different from the other characters to be intriguing, otherwise he would be like a goofy Narukami. Older Persona characters would be interesting as well, but the art style is so different, I can't see it being a feasible crossover.

Honestly, I think Naoto is the worst character in P4U.

I want P3P female main character.

Never gonna happen.

I want Margaret.

But most importantly, if we ever get a sequel I want to see everyone gain a few more normals and a couple more specials, everyone's movesets feel a little small compared to other Arcsys games. It would be nice to see that get expanded imo, though I guess it might go against the beginner friendly simplicity they were going for with this game.

I kind of want characters to have forward normals and such. I think Mitsuru is the only character with a 6B.

Mind if I ask why the P3 main character being in anything would be impossible? Is it like a Mass Effect thing where while you can have male/female Shepards, Male Shepard is all but canon? But what do I know, I don't even know the difference between P3 and FES.

Spoiler:
P3 protagonist dies at the end.

Since the fighting game is considered to be part of the canonical series, it wouldn't make sense.

That's what I was thinking. At least the characters feel complete for the most part imo, but some 6Xs and 3Xs would add a bit more variety to them.

I always figured that it wouldn't be too hard to
say the P3 main character came back wrong at some point, especially since Elizabeth is trying to bring them back.

Or
they could just have Shadow Labrys disguise herself as one of them and make that playable.

I thing the biggest issue though is that P4U seems to want to avoid all P3 and P4 spoilers, so any workaround would be hard to explain in the story.

This all has reminded me that I need to finish P4U's story mode. I guess that's something to work on until Fire Emblem.

Urghh....want to hover over spoiler, but since hunting for P3 and P4 now...won't...agh.
I believe P3 is on PSN as a PS2 classic, for I think $9.99.

Unfortunately got 0-2'ed. Medicine and me still recovering did not help, haha. I did great in casuals though
besides against Munsu.
Aisight did pretty well and got 2-2 I think.

Still had a lots of fun.

Being sick for tourneys sucks man, so no worries on that. Aisight actually had a couple of nice comebacks too, but I'm glad you had fun. Gonna head back tomorrow for Top 8 if you're feeling up to it?

So I guess day 2 stream didn't get recorded :(

I wanted to rewatch my sets vs Biter and Choysauce, too. Oh well.

I got to learn a lot from talking and playing with others though. Got in a lot of games, took it easy and had some fun, ended weekend with Korean BBQ, partial celebration for t-loc making it to 3rd place.

That match you had vs Biter was pretty funny in the teams tournament.

Sounds like a lot of fun, jealous of KBBQ :<

For what it's worth Aisight, I actually wound up getting like 90% of the Day 2 matches I saw like what normally happens with majors I watch (like I got 3 gigs of stuff from Apex, probably close to 6 or 7 from EVO last year, and quite possible over 5 gigs from SCR weekend) since a bunch of my Youtube subscribers tend to ask for matches from majors that they missed. I can sort through my footage and see if there's any matches of yours that I can hook you up with some, but since technically the entire bit of SCR footage, even the dedicated P4A and MK9 streams are considered LevelUpLive streams, I can't YT upload them since I suspect I'd get a strike for it and I already have one on my channel from October.

In other news that people may or may not care about, my scene's HQ now has recording software and commentary gear, and the guy who runs the "Not-Capcom" get togethers is looking into streaming at the college in the city, so we might be streaming some ranbats in the "not all that distant future" and hopefully draw some more people in to level up our community.

I remember seeing a japanese player do crazy Yukiko things that made me like scream haha.

Anyone wanna play later today/tonight w/e by any chance?

I have school tomorrow so not sure how much of a chance I'll get aside from weekends :<

I might hop on tonight if my time in the lab makes me feel optimistic. Sort of have a couple of things I've been trying to get down so might want to see if I can work it when it counts.

And Aisight, I checked over my stuff from earlier, and it seems I've got every match from Pool 3 of P4A that was streamed so while it's probably not everything you were looking for, I can hook you up with your sets against The Biter and Choysauce through like putlocker or Dailymotion (since unlike my Youtube, I don't even have anything uploaded there and don't really care about it) or whatever.

Ohh, I thought Lythi and Sakurazaki (you don't mind if I just use an 'a' instead of a 4 in there since it flows better typing, do you?) were actually doing matches, lol. Yeah, I'll be on for when you open it, Teczero. I suppose I'll hit the lab until then so uh...nevermind my PSN message to you Sakurazaki.

Aight, I'm hopping back on my PS3 then. Here's to hoping something in the Lab went well and that I picked some stuff up from watching SCR. And if I can resist the urge to pick Mitsuru once, just once, to say that I did...though I'm pretty sure that would be a dumb and disrespectful waste of time so I likely won't bother.
