Umby vs Blazingsai - A load of me being bad at Aigis for your opinions and critique.
I'll watch it all after class, I only saw a bit right now. All I can say is, be careful of those bad Kanji netplay tactics since that's blowing you up.
Blazingsai presses a lot of unnecessary buttons at odd spots, and you keep second guessing yourself on when to punish so you never get to start your offense and mixup game.

Guilty Gear comes out tomorrow and I'll be on that pretty heavy, so I'm planning on doing a farewell P4A lobby tonight if anyone's interested. Plan for it to start around 10:00 PM EST.

You silly Maritimers and your behind ahead by an hour. I'll possibly pass too, but I'm not certain. I've been slowly kinda phasing P4A out a bit, but if it's a goodbye lobby, it can't hurt.

Don't change it just for me, haha.

I'm trying to get caught up on RPGs and stuff anyway, before FGs have to take over my life again. Have fun!

I'm going to disregard whether it was laggy or not since that doesn't help. Also going to assume Blazingsai was messing around a ton and trolling.

Aigis vs Kanji matchup is generally slow at neutral since Kanji should have a hard time getting in, so he's usually doing 5D or something to keep you in blockstun. If he does this a lot, refrain from jumping too much since he will dive at you when you're stuck in blockstun. If you're not stuck in blockstun, you can fire off bullets to get rid of a card.

In the first match, Blazingsai did a lot of reckless dives just to approach. If you're stuck in the air, just air DP so you don't get hit. You missed a punish at 0:00:55. If you're in Orgia Mode, just do sweep a bit sooner before he lands so you don't miss your chance. And for some odd reason when you got persona broken at that instant, Blazingsai was mashing a (non-intentional gold?) burst which doesn't make sense since you had no Persona to do any damage. At 22:30, you chose to backdash on his wakeup when you could've rushed down. But yeah, just stay in Orgia Mode and punish him until he learns his lesson to not dive.

Blazingsai seems to mash DP/grab/roll after whiffed dive/grab, or roll, so be careful. Every roll or whiffed move was followed by a gold burst (this was like every match lol)/command grab/DP (especially on match 11:33). They're taking a big risk, so if my opponent does that, I'll just stay just out of range of the grab and just block. Either they have to spend their burst or they just lost 5k life. Also remember that Kanji's roll is really bad. Punish it with a grab or attack him on startup or recovery. If you're fighting anyone like this, the best way is to just wait at a certain range and let your opponent basically kill themselves. They're going to gamble and do something reckless to cover their screw up, so punish them after their next move.

At 11 minutes in, if I were you, I would've done AoA into Awakening Super instead of DP since it might've finished off the match. At 12:30, I suggest just going in since you broke his Persona. Kanji's practically helpless during that time. 11:55 you had 2 chances to win. One was the bad burst. 2nd was after you punished his roll after the burst. You should have just OMBed your super into your other one. This happens again at 24:13. Unfortunately after this combo, you backdashed again on his wakeup even though he had no Persona.

In this matchup, I think you used too many bullets (which stopped one of your auto combos since you had zero) when you shouldn't have, missiles when it's not too helpful in this matchup when Kanji can just dive at you, 5D'ed at bad spots when Kanji was already 5Ding you, relied on too many auto combos, and teched left/right too much. Suggestions I can give are practice your combos more off of different starters, do more left/right mixups after knockdown, 5A/2A staggers into grab, and don't do full screen super during Kanji's 5D since that won't work. Be careful of DPing when you're cornered by Kanji though. Blazingsai should taken nearly all of your health each time he blocked those with an FC combo. Also, I would've liked to have seen more Orgia backdash.

I might get on. Might be a 50/50 chance I'll be able to.

So pissed at my stick and inputs right now.

Whenever I want to do something concerning 236 or 214, I always end up undershooting or overshooting the 6/4 and end up TKing or 1/2/3D'ing something. Lol.

Sorry guys, I'm going to have to cancel the lobby, I haven't gotten as far through my homework as I'd hoped I would by now. If it's not too late when I finish I'll check to see if anyone still wants to play.

I'd play but I don't think that would turn your losing streak around.

GGs everyone I played. Sorry, I jumped between lobbies so things got into a mess.

And I didn't mean to call you out, blazingsai. I just noticed some troll rounds where you knew Umby couldn't counter or catch on. I just feel like it's habits like that where people need to calmly deal with it and find a way to beat it or they'll still lose to shenanigans. I actually do believe that if people can't find a way to deal with it, I'll keep doing it (like not DPing my Raging Lions), so I'm not picking on you for that.

Ugh. Ggs to anyone I played.

I played a random Labrys/Yu on ranked and was so free 15-2. It's probably because I need more exposure to grabs, but grabs just made me free. He'd bust them out of nowhere and then do something else to keep me guessing. He'd grab me out of techs, then he'd run up to me, jab, then grab while I was still blocking or just grab first...

Anyway, if anyone wants a free win from me. Throw. Dammit. Throw.

Airtech grab traps are pretty standard at some level that I can't really define, but they're mostly used to punish people who're lazy, which is even more common here due to the hold tech mechanic in P4A. As for tick throws, well, all you can really do in netplay is "feel" one coming and either hit DP or C+D pre-emptively.

Oh, I totally forgot that they're called tick throws.

I can understand the air grab since I see it done a lot, but... Ugh. I probably just need to get used to those. I actually was able to "feel" a couple of tick throws and run-ups and DP/Break my way out of them. Just wish I had done better on my reads.
