Yeah, Sion posted it above, heh.

And yeah, all their matches were off-stream, unfortunately.

I could be wrong, but I think the reason for that was they started like an hour and 45 minutes late in general and KOFXIII ran a bit longer than expected (and almost kinda makes me feel a bit bad for Romance as he can never quite seem to pull it off against Bala). Either way, they both went pretty respectively deep in the brackets so I have to give both of you guys props for it.

Though, I will say Biter's Kanji and James Xie's Aigis scare the crap out of me.

Edit: Oh, and out of curiousity, are you S9 Taezaki on stream chat?

Haha **** me and my Vegas bracket. Ruin and Prinny are both from Vegas.
You can see which of us are Vegas by the lv prefix, I was really proud of Munsu breaking through Valle and Biter and making it to top 4.

Yeah, I think the commentators made a mention of it at one point.

Also I wound up calling it a night around like quarter after 3, so I'm not sure who won. Though...I'm guessing it was Xie?

Yeah, Xie won. Funny fact, every time Munsu asked Xie for advice on how to play against someone, he ended up winning it. Even when the advice was something like "but Biter's really good against Mitsuru, so yeah good luck". GIVE US MORE OF YOUR MAGICAL POWERS XIE.

Anyway, I really want to finish my backlog of RPGs and stuff, and spending nights in P4A lobbies isn't helping. I might be up for some one-on-one sessions every once in a while but I'm done playing P4A intensively for the remainder of the year. Have fun everyone else, catch up to Minato and Jam! EDIT: and Sion!

Having a bunch of RPGs on backlog is both awesome and kinda crappy at the same time because at least with me it's a matter of "aagh, there's not enough time in the day to finish them". Enjoy your break and all that good stuff.

Yeah, I'll be starting a farewell lobby tonight. I'm going to go pretty hard on Might and Magic starting this week, and I also want to finally play Catherine and Odin Sphere.

I had a pretty intense tournament weekend, so I'm probably going to be taking a bit of a break from FGs as well.

I have a bunch of other games to play, and I'd like to get started on them. Gotta get rid of some of the backlog that's starting to pile up, haha.

No worries, it's all good. Though, before you take a FGC break, I admittedly want to play you in some AE2012. I haven't gotten to since I first tried to pick up Juri. That being said, I'll try to stick around and play some Persona 4 for sure. Though once Blazblue CP footage comes out, I'm gonna be tempted to start going back to Extend at some point in December to get hype for it. Long story short, yeah, I'll still be playing and open for lobbies in the future.

Yea :<

It's a CP match up I play a lot, so I immediately went to it and didn't put enough thought into it.

I definitely underestimated chillin's Marth exp :<

It's okay, I was supposed to be washed up so I did well :3

After that set all my games were off stream and I won 3 sets before losing to scar.

If this is going to be a farewell lobby, I might as well join in and play some games.
Going to heat up dinner first before logging on though.

You guys are welcome to keep playing, I'm helping my ex-wife with something so I'll be indisposed for about half an hour.

Also, I think it was her using Spotify that caused the really bad lag, but since I shut it off things seem to be better.

Lastly, I ****ing hate Yosuke. Like I really do. Really.

Every time I press a button I'm eating a counterhit lol
That's my life against Akihiko though :(

His normals are kinda mediocre to bad, imo. 5B and 2B are his best normals. 5B is plus on block, so don't press any button except DP if you think he's not expecting it. 2B horizontal range sucks, but its AA is godlike.

Better yet.

First, there was some weird, wiggy altercation with the rules. Something about M2K illegally CPing a stage that he already won on (FD). Okay, no big deal, Unknown and M2K replayed their fifth match. The onus was on both of them to know the rules prior, but w/e. There was miscommunication there.

(Oh, insert some random bit about M2K throwing a hissy fit and trying to forfeit.)

Then we roll around to the end of the tourney. M2K, Unknown, and Kirbykaze decided that they were gonna split, and do so in a very public manner. They threw LFs, WFs, AND GFs.

It was dumb.

There's a huge uproar in the melee community about this result now. It's really sad that this happened when we were on the verge of breaking into the FGC too.

3700 people were watching three people OPENLY split top 3. It was disgusting.

Yeah, no kidding. And doesn't M2K have a history of trying to get people to split pots too? I remember a few other instances of it happening involving him AND one instance of him trying to convince Ally to split it. Not to mention one where he convinced his Grand Finals opponent to throw it and then paid him half the money afterwards since he "just wanted to be the winner".

Like, I'm sorry, and I know M2K has probably done a bunch in getting the Smash community noticed and is a well known figure in it, but everything I've seen, witnessed firsthand over streams, read, noticed in his posts, and heard from people in tourneys with him seems to point to him being a giant piece of s--- that the Smash community might be better off in the long run just banning from tournament play. I'm not normally one to say such a thing, but crap like that is an example of WHY the rest of the FGC looks at Smash and looks down on the people in the scene.
