Got my TE dual modded among other things. Installed silent buttons now which is nice so people can't hear me mash 2 button DPs.

Gonna change the USB wiring later to make it like how ethernets are.

Next gen, I'll probably get another stick modded.

I wish these characters joined the playable roster. So Yosuke, Chie and Yukiko could address them as senpai. Sorry, the sizes of their images are uneven.

Play it anyway, it's good enough.

I don't like Stupei or Yuka-tan. Yukari would at least be interesting because she fights with a bow, but they already put in the cool characters from P3 imo. I guess they could put Ken in, I find him acceptable.

Man, I so have to play Persona 3. Though, some jerk spoiled the ending for me,
in the middle of my first playthrough, i was looking up some videos of the game on youtube. i scroll down and the first comment i saw spoiled the ending. still a fantastic ride though.

So out of curiousity but...are the Persona 1 and Persona 2 remakes for PSP any good? I'm on the lookout for some good PSP RPGs/games (I got Disgaea for $12 at a Microplay and got Yggdra Union for $4.99 at the same place) and wondering. I mean, I've heard good things about Fate/Extra, Trails In the Sky, Jeanne D'arc, and the Valkyrie Profile game for it but...yeah.

Don't go for Persona 1 as your first Persona game, it aged too much. 2's good, but it's mostly the story that's good (gameplay aged imo). If you're looking for good PSP games, I'd say go for Trails (or Ys 7 if you want something real-time).

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I actually saw a Trails on eBay but when I went to go and "buy it now" it, it went to auction so hey. Though for some reason this has me wondering if the Persona 3 movie got canceled.

I don't have much, but the guy you're playing against seems really impatient. He's getting tagged by a lot of stuff, and not really respecting you. It seems like he doesn't really like blocking, haha. Not finishing a lot of combos either.

Sorry, aisight. I don't really have anything for you. :p

A bunch of games I played on Wednesday. Feel free to give comments/critiques on either of our play.

I don't think he knows any of those characters as well as he should, especially Liz (too many Liz players do 5C to 2C outside of counters when they shouldn't) and Mitsuru (I didn't see much of his Kanji ones). His Yosuke's neutral game isn't too threatening, and makes odd decisions. Quite a bit of bad bursts too.

For you, I don't know Yukiko that well. For Kanji, as if I'd give you tips to make it better :mad088:

When I'm not doing shenanigans involving placing Konohana Sakuya in weird spots through j.C, j.D, or 1/2/3D, I typically run 5C as kind of a call-out far anti-air. It's obviously kinda worthless/risky at closer distances due to the lack of disjoint and high startup/recovery (17f/29f), but it can catch people who're airdashing from a fair distance away, and since it's cancelable, even if they end up blocking it you'll be able to go into a small blockstring.

My boyfriend just got home.

He won't stop giving me advice, and it's distracting.

Backseat Shabrys.

EDIT: I have to go, sorry guys. GGs~

I use j.C to delay myself in the air and to place Sakuya at odd locations.

Hm...I may or may not be up for playing at some time over the weekend, but I have to make sure to get studying in for my online exam thing Tuesday so who knows.

ggs to everyone! Hilarity ensues when I can't win against any of Minato's characters EXCEPT his Narukami, haha. Though I feel like you're way overcautious and/or desperate when you use him in the matchup.

Sakurazaki - too much down-back... or just back. With Yukiko you gotta be extra mobile, and do everything you can to either get away or stay away. In your case I'd suggest just trying some more disrespect and learning what works, since at this point you're just sitting in the corner 90%+ of every game, which isn't a great plan when everyone can run continuous pressure strings if they don't ever feel threatened by escape attempts.

I'm surprised SG didn't mess me up more, other than trying to use AoA to throw a couple times.

GGs everyone, it was fun.

I'm usually not like that. But I'll keep that in mind.

I just got really tired after a couple matches. I'm getting old. Lack of practice is showing too.

That said, I'm still #freeyukiko, lol. I'm not too familiar with Kanji so it was hard for me to find openings when to leave. I couldn't really find anything, and my techs were horrible ;( I could've tried something though. Dunno why I didn't burst that first time.

If anyone is playing tomorrow, I'll be available.

I'm going to clarify just in case haha. My internet connection was acting up so even my matches with Sakurazaki was off. The one Teddie player kept mashing X later on so the delay was stuck badly due to the distance :(

I'm not scared of the matchup offline as I am online, haha. I was sad I got hit by air dive, since Narukami can just air DP, but my reactions were too slow. And yeah, I am overly cautious. Kanji's angle of attacks kinda throw me off. I can't anti-air and I can't throw Zios recklessly (since you punished bad ones pretty nicely). I dropped my combos so I was scared my oki and blockstrings would have gaps too and thus played all funny.

Maybe I should just never use Narukami on you. lol

Who's LandsharkRAR with all the netplay tactics lol
He's from my local scene, and he's trying to learn the game. He invited me to a lobby, but I was already in one with Minato, so I invited him.

But yeah, those netplay tactics... they don't deviate when you're playing him offline either.

Mid-range Zios are a better bet, since fullscreen Zio is asking to get Zionga'd yourself or whatever Kanji D happens to be called... j.D is by far the fastest to recover for Kanji's lightning series, meaning I can quickly punish you for ever trying to get away with something like that. As for anti-airing, if you see me advancing you can always just DP me. It beats just about anything except an empty jump, pretty much.

So uh...even though I haven't played this game since Capital KO, I'm strangely feeling the urge for a lobby or something this weekend so anyone gonna be on one of the nights for...something?

Tonight/tomorrow, sure. BB or P4U, I'm up for either.
