I know what it was, but now it is:
"Streaming PROJECT:M 5+ days per week!"

Don't want to disrespect PEEF's efforts, but this is just the wrong section to promote project:M.
i love melee, 100% my favorite game, without a doubt.

however, i'm not quite as interested in watching a straight melee stream. if i wanted to see some amazing melee matches, or whatever, there is a thread dedicated to that in this section.

i do, however, love watching the alpha stream of project melee. due to the fact that there aren't that many videos out there especially of certain characters and me not having access to it myself, i love watching the stream when they play p:m. not only that, but i can ask questions and opinions about the current state of the game, whereas there isn't a whole lot i need to know about melee.

the game is being created for the sole purpose of creating a competitive melee-esque game out of brawl complete with great balance and a whole new assortment of characters, while keeping the old top tiers almost 100% the same and balancing old characters as well.

of course the game will never be 100% melee, it's just not going to happen. but it's to the point even now where a melee player could switch between melee and p:m without any hassle.

basically, by somewhat advertising even the game's existence in the melee discussion, he is promoting a game that is mainly created for the sole purpose of MELEE PLAYERS, being able to enjoy something new while being amazingly competitive, technical and fresh.

in that regard, he has all the right in the world, and my appreciation, for doing what he is doing. if you just want to watch melee, let me direct you to this thread, instead.

This doesn't change the fact that, as Dimitris was trying to say, P:M is a Brawl mod. If Peef wants to notify players about the mod, it's purpose and goals, he could simply create a thread which discusses it and redirects people to a thread in the Brawl section. Additionally, Peef - who advertizes the streaming of Melee - seems to not stream Melee whatsoever. I'm not trying to hate on P:M or Peef, I would just like to see Melee from this stream occasionally considering it's being advertized in the Melee boards. After all, there are Melee players who have little or no interest in P:M. imo

Love the stream. When Project:M comes out, I'm going to load it onto a bunch of SD cards and give them out for free at tournaments. That way there's no technical curve for players who aren't good with computers.

By the time they have overcome all the technical difficulties and release the game they probably have found the way to play it without an SD card

or a brawl disc

or a controller

or a wii

All hail to the P:M team!

Man, 4 Foxes, a Sheik, a Samus, a Falcon, and one Peach. And they say Samus isn't tournament viable. People need to check themselves.

I may be wrong here but didn't Apex 2010 have like 500,000 unique views? They were talking on the stream like 3,000 was so much, but didn't Apex maintain like 12,000 views?

idk

Do you have any way of knowing how many views were of people who previously hadn't watched your stream, or did you get any messages from people who weren't familiar with competitive Melee that watched? I was just kind of curious how much you were being exposed to completely new people, especially now that you're partnered. Stream was awesome either way, so I'm definitely looking forward to more.
