WFT's Header landing lag cancel still works.

Sun Salutation GFX have been changed (made "flashier")

NAir 1 combos seem to be unchanged.

Sadly it seems that Deep Breathing's momentum glitch is out.

Deep Breathing's damage multiplier seems to have been made constant rather than decrease as it did in v1.0.4 when you had penalties (it is always 1.16, rather than decaying to 1.15 on consecutive uses). However, the percent healed is still 2% with less penalties, 1% with more. Since penalty mechanics are still a bit unclear I can't say with total certainty but it seems that the number of penalties you can have and still heal 2% has been increased. Damage taken mutliplier is still 0.9

No changes for Falcon, fully confirmed.
I compared data to the pinned thread on the Falcon boards.

I believe that this upd8 was to sync the versions and that's literally it.

It seems that meteor smashes that hit grounded opponents can still be teched.

I played some matches with G&W :4gaw: and I seem to be able to stay alive easier like he got some extra weight now.

Can somebody else test and confirm/deny?

WFT FSmash still whiffs on Kirby point-blank.

However, grab now actually grabs point-blank, whereas I THINK it used to whiff as well?!

Junior's Dash Attack and D-Throw both have one extra hit, and drifting during his clown kart now deals 12% damage instead of 11%.

Darn, I picked up Link for the sole purpose of using his Jab shanigan .-. looks like he's going back in the Fun toy box

I made a post dedicated to Marth's changes in the new patch. I can't claim everything is correct, but I found out you can true combo f-air to f-air again. I can't post the link, but it's in Marth's character discussion.

I'm just gonna wait for someone to datamine the 1.05 patch before I 100% believe anything, just like what was done for version 1.04.

First of all, shame on you for picking up link solely for cheapo techniques. Second of all it wasn't patched out, it's just a bit harder to do. I don't know all the details so go to the link boards for the full scoop.

There's this thing. It's called Sarcasm c:

No, but in all honestly, i found out about that technique quite literally the day AFTER I decided to start using Link. That jab combo, so to speak, sealed the deal for me :)

Oh my bad man, sarcasm is really hard over texts lol. But yeah I don't think it's gone just yet

Edit: so apparently there are two ways of doing the jab chain. They took out one method of doing it but the other one is still in effect I think?? I don't know, that's at least what I got out of it. Again, I'm not too knowledgable on the subject so don't quote me on anything. I don't have a 3ds only wiiu. Well just have to wait for the patch to hit wii u to really find out.

Words of marth Fair buff?
Does 10% when in sword tip. Not sure if it dealt this damage in 1.0.4.
Move is same as it was before though. Speaking of Marth, did Side B get a speed buff?

The sweetspot of Marth's front air attack dealt 10% damage in version 1.0.4, too.

Link's jab cancel was not removed.

The diagonal-stick jab was always extremely precise/unreliable on 3DS, even pre-patch. If you manually perform the crouch between jabs, it works as always. I've attempted diagonal-stick jab on 3DS before the patch and it feels exactly as difficult to do after, so I'm calling no change on that.

For those disappointed in the patch not having balance changes, remember this is just patch 1.05. This means Nintendo plans to release 94 more patches at least.

It could possibly mean we'll see 94 more patches before version 2.0 which will probably coincide with the release of Mew2.0.

That's referring to the 1-2 repeat, right? Doesn't seem so, and it's easy to escape after a few reps anyhow.
As Ganondorf I can seriously just DI down and hold shield after the first one and block everything after. I think Fox's Jab Cancel is more effective on lighter/floatier characters.

Ganondorf's Flame Chain slides him incredibly far on the ground.
But it always did that... 3/4 the length of Battlefield. Still the same. Confirmed NO CHANGE.

Ganondorf's Dark Fists don't lift him as high anymore.
Confirmed FALSE. Test Dark Fists and Dark Dive on Battlefield. Both of them just barely lift him high enough to reach the top platform from below. Not an inch of difference between them. This has been the case since launch.

Ganondorf's Dark Vault has more horizontal distance.
Can neither confirm nor deny. The second jump is definitely still rigid as ever.

Ganondorf's Warlock Thrust can KO now, not having any set knockback (trust me, I've done that before on previous versions).
It could always KO, it just sucked at it... and it still sucks at it! It never had set knockback. Confirmed NO CHANGE.

Can everyone who is making troll posts please stop. You are obscuring the entertaining posts from people posting imaginary changes.

From what I can tell the aesthetic glitch where R.O.B. keeps its up-B smoke going continuously when it throws an item up while using up-B is gone.

Well, can you confirm or deny that Link's Power Bow charges slower and his Quickfire Bow charges faster?

But it always did that... 3/4 the length of Battlefield. Still the same. Confirmed NO CHANGE.

Thanks for the response; but on the Dark Vault, the first one goes significantly more horizontal at the least.

This thread is becoming a welcoming thread...

Ironic how most of the ¨changes¨ are discovered by Rookies or Cadets...

They're both the same between the 3DS and Wii U. If they were different before, then something did change.
Links power bow in 3ds 1.04 used to charge faster than in wiiu 1.01. I can confirm that.

I can confirm that Link's Power Bow (custom move) charges slower, just like the Wii U version. Also, damage was reduced for the small Mii Brawler, before his Dair gave 13% damage, now it does 12%, just like in Wii U.

Looks like this patch was to make the 3DS version just like Wii U

Having in mind replays have been rendered useless. Changes in balance had to happen if slightly. Otherwise why would old replays don't work anymore?
