I played a kirby player that sucked me up and ended up chef locking himself to death. I laughed at him.

I've just never found much use from the chef, other than pissing people off. I think Judgement > DJ Judgemet could really screw with some people

Tried to play a guy from the community, and it was pretty laggy. Got all my ports open on my wii.
How much lag is normal when u play over the wii? And will it lag less if the players are from the same area?

The closer the better, usually. It mostly depends on the ISP.

Be sure they are DMZ'd as well.

I usually get ~5 frames or so of lag when I play people on fsmash.org, sometimes it's more, which is when I ask if they are DMZ'd (9/10 they weren't)

yeah it will be much less laggy if you're brawling people in your area. Europe would be good for you. It might be hopeless to brawl someone in the U.S., unless maybe you both have supreme wired connections and he's on the west coast or something.

That AT sounds nutty though, I will definitely have to try it out. I wasn't catching it in the videos.

Lolol baconlockcancelling.

Edit: What the hell is DMZing?

Another question:

My router didn't have a dmz option, but i port forwarded my router for all ports 0 to 65535, will that do?

Wifi is always bad compared to offline. Usually there are at least 5 to 10 frames of lag, usually more. The worst I've ever seen was like half a second to a second, at that point I wouldn't consider it playing but apparently my opponent was used to it. There's also stuff like one-sided button lag and the service completely losing inputs at times. Most of the better players have a decent connection though. Good luck and have fun, and remember that wifi doesn't matter so you don't have to get mad at it.

DMZ is demilitarized zone. It is the only true option, it disabled internet firewalls from the router (only for the one device)

If there is a section called gaming or something like that, look in there. It is pretty much irreplaceable.
