So, I heard Pwii is a top 5 GnW.

Any character will do since G&W is terrible. I suggest Marth since he is a quite simple yet effective character like G&W and has much better MUs.

I don't get it? When will you just GTFO already? If you've got nothing good to say about the character this forum is about maybe you should just goon it up on jigglypuff forums 24/7

I don't hang around the Puff boards anymore. I did for about 2 years though when I was really active with puff thank you. I still play this character but this character isn't good. Expect to see him drop to middletier.

GnW is amazing, **** what anyone else says. Good secondaries are marth, rob, and snake (and of course MK)

I recommend Falco or Snake, pretty simple on the surface with quite a bit of depth underneath. You could also just pick up MK. Or be like a lot of people and go for the ICs.

You are better off though just maining IC and using G&W on counterpicks in that case. It's still a powerful combo though, but G&W will be left behind as ICs need a hell lot of effort.

The guy asked for advice, and LzR gave him an honest answer, GnW is a mediocre character and I don't see how you guys expect us to be biased just because it's the GnW forums.

Thanks for all advice given. I probably should have mentioned that Marth and ICs are the only two characters that consistently give me trouble. Then there's some Diddy and MK. I think I'm gonna pick up ROB or something.

Well, I didn't mind much...the last MK is a friend who's pretty good, and I totally expected to lose to him. He did win that tournament after all.

I didn't go with my mains, Yoshi/Bowser because I'm not confident in FFAs (it was a kiddie tournament, and alot of good players invaded yesterday xd). To my surprise, only the first round was a FFA to get rid of the first 14 players.

SSBs =/= life in any way. Life's a ****ing b****. SSBs is a legal way to temporally be distracted from it.

Yeah, it's a funny game.

I'm looking for a secondary. Any suggestions?

Wario suffers against both Marth and ICs, ROB is a fine choice if you're looking to counter them both.
Although he's not much good for anything else.

Dude wtf, you beat glutonny and only get 9th? I don't understand. I've seen a video or 2 of Okals' marth... didn't seem THAT great. Never heard of Ether though. Is he ranked/good?

I'll agree with you on the first part, but losing to a DK means nothing.

DK's reach is devastating for us, not to mention his punch's super-armor can turn things around so quickly...

We were having a debate about Ftilt. A debate is not 2 sides hating each other until one hates so much the other one is forced to remove his account. And as Zac said, all moves have their moment and stuff it's pretty obvious. It's just that Ftilt is almost always outclassed.

I have negative stuff about G&W because this character to me is kinda disappointing though he is fun. His smashes are so hard to land, most of the time your only option is to nair them 4 times most of the time you can just escape with upB OoS and stuff. I expect this char to drop to top of middletier too. This character is way to predictable and so am I. Not a good combo.

BTW about ftilt. It's kinda the middle-ground between dtilt and fsmash.
It is usually outclassed by the two other moves, but there is a certain sweetspot in which ftilt is your best choice. (At least if you wanna keep fair fresh)

Saying someone using 'character A' lost to a 'character B' doesn't mean anything. People have bad days and some low character players can be really good (). It's just one loss like any other. High tiers and big advantage MUs don't lose the low tiers/ the big disadvantaged character very often but it happens.
