Yeah a New demo came out a few days ago. He has his Parachute Nair from Melee but no float chute, however he can still attack after Up-B which is a nice touch and he kept the invincibility on it.

That was pretty much the most awesome thing I have ever seen.

I've always thought that GW does really good when outnumbered in doubles. For some reason his shenanigans connect under the pressure.

Good stuff! Will key always beat Fox/Falco's ForwardBs?
For some reason i don't like hearing commentary :/ .

Great G&W tricks like Uair>Dsmash etc on game 2 as well.

Fox/Falco's sideBs have strange properties. The last part and windup lose to anything, Link's Dair and projectiles beat all of it, well timed/spaced grab type moves will too if you're not hit first, several range attacks beat all of it, Zelda's UTilt/Lightning kicks beat it and her Din's clashes with the strong part. most moves clash with the strong part and neither character is affected, transcendent attacks and very high priority air attacks beat it but ground attacks usually clash with the strong part.

Yo Vinnie I LOVED your use of side-B but it's pretty uncharacteristic of you until of late. Did you feel really confident and not really give a **** or something?

You just never used to use it and Lately it seems like you've been using it a lot.

Also is there a reason you don't bucket stall when they have invincibility on the ledge? Does that not work at top/high level play?

Good stuff from those vids, they were really entertaining.

I remember reading somewhere that the way the attack works is if you illusion from left to right

Startup ------- point 1 --------- point 2

Start ------- point 1 --------- point 2

Side B Hitbox --------- Falco -------- point 2

Start --------- Side B hitbox ------- Falco

Something like that. I forget who said it however. x.x and I'm too lazy to look for it.

Nah the first 1/3 of it is invincible and the rest is beaten by everything as Falcos hurtbox comes before the hitbox.

Illusions have no invulnerability. Their hit bubble(s) has weird protective properties included in the attack but stop covering Fox/Falco in the later part of the move. Several attacks beat Their sideBs at any point (mentioned above).

Oh ok, so it's practically invincible, but not really?

G&W has some pretty bad flaws, but he is rewarded greatly for overcoming them, unlike some characters.

Everyone has their flaws. I hate seeing people leave. :(

:phone:
That's true. Unless you're using MK there is always at least 1 better character, lol. G&W has trouble with A tiers but he still is better than 3/4ths of the cast.
I think G&W's intercepting game isn't recognized enough. With Uair, a relatively fast fall speed and good air movement, long lasting disjointed hitboxes and fast long recovery he's lethal. Dtilt's a great ledge guarder too.
Even without using smashes G&W does have KO moves. They're not great in terms of power but he can build damage and gimp like Samus or Sonic who also have trouble KOing. MUs like Snake and Marth are a real pain but they're 'A' tier and a pain for several characters. Brawl kind of sucks by having only a handful of characters seriously be suited for competitive games.

G&W IS broken. The characters above him are a lot more broken. Mid-tiers are more like how characters should be and low-mid tiers and below are bad. Brawl's stupid that way:glare:

Yeah I just got a serious whomping over wifi yesterday something like 40 rounds and couldn't manage to win one... :( I was playing against mostly a really good Peach.

The flaws in GW are so so obvious, but it's only made me more intent on figuring out new approaches and trying my best to hone my technical skill.

After forty rounds of losing I've decided that chef is highly highly underrated. It wasn't until I started using that as an approaching tool that I was starting to improve my game.

Lol, Tommy uses ICs now, but he doesn't **** Gdubs yet. I'm also learning them right now, for Snakes, Marths, and the Ditto (Both GW and IC dittos).

^Yeah, I've seen. I'm sorta upset because I hate the Snake matchup too. So no matter which character he uses I won't like the matchup.

So are his ICs are bad? Or he just doesn't quite have the G&W matchup down? Does he have chain grabbing down?

Edit: So the Brawl Matchup chart says that ZSS is -1 for G&W. What do you guys think of that?
