I know that but eh.........aint like I'm gonna win a tournament. And I could just counterpick. but I just dont wanna do that. I know it will cut my chances but this is the way I wanna do it............well was at least. Not sure now.

I know its your decision, but in the end of the day when it comes down to money i will take the cheap road lol. Its either counterpick and have more of a chance of winning or dont counterpick and have less of a chance of winning, but you will get loads of respect if you win a tourn lol.
I learning fox atm and im finding it alot easier to play marth so im taking the counterpick route

I have my swf settings on "ignore stupid" so since i only see corts posts i have no idea whats going on but cort and alejandro and vanz are like the only people on this planet who "main" peach (sorry cort) and can use other characters good too LOL

point is the best way to know your character is also knowing how to fight against them with others and learning matchups from both sides so that you learn what character x has trouble dealing with or whatever.

Just because favorable matches exist doesn't mean you can just start counterpicking. You need to know the character and how to play the matchup, too. Of course, both people being familiar with a matchup will almost always end with the favored character winning.

Use your other characters as a trump card. For example

You Vs Cort. Dont worry Cort it seems you and Dark have something going so thats why I used you, no disrespect at all. So Yea you face Cort in a Peach ditto, and you win, then next fight he wins. Now would you go Peach again and risk loseing, or will you boost up your chances for winning by going sheik or Marth? You cant risk it at all. so you have to choose Marth or shiek. you would have the upper hand now. This can go for any match. Every character needs back up. It does not change how good you are as a Peach main. Your still good with her.But in the times you are in trouble, bring out your trump card.

Like you could beat the character but you might wanna increase your chances so you use someone else who can handle the job better. But you can still go mostly Peach in tournaments. Anyone agree?

You know, i never really thought of it like that at all. trump card. kinda like Yu-Gi-Oh. You have a side deck of 15 cards and inbetween battles you switch up. And it does not change how your deck is.....

Maybe it's just me, but I hate using Marth against Peach. I don't get nearly enough practice for that matchup on Marth's side, and it's pretty funny that Peach players I consistently 2-3 stock in the ditto would wreck my Marth.

Characters aren't like cards, or I'd be maindecking the top tier for the win.

I'm bad at useing others, or they are not as good as my Peach. so In tournaments I dont even know if I would risk it with Marth or Peach. its like I lose ether way. lol, i remember seeing advice long ago on the peach boards saying how you cant get it done with peach alone so i picked up fox/marth, and they really do give me the best chance of winning even though i have played less with them than i have with peach

i used to still play peach for fun at least, but if i'm not going to give myself the best chance at winning by picking fox/marth and going for fun instead, i usually pick falcon now, i find him way more entertaining than peach.

to me, sticking to one character and not learning to cp effectively is, well, somewhat of a scrub mentality. if you only feel comfortable with one character at a given time its one thing, but i view refusing to learn other chars the same way as i view refusing to edgehog. its just silly, really. win or go home, no one cares about anything else.

M2K probably has the best everything LOL but yeah m2k thinks peach is extremely limited and he's right for the most part. She doesn't have many matches that are in her favor... IC's are the only **** match for her imo. its sad because low/mid tiers even go about even with peach. Link / Ylink/ DK/ Pikachu/luigi/gannon can all go about pretty even with her. Shes a great character but at high level play its really difficult to play with her and use her for every matchup if you plan on winning, I think her counter pick stages are the best thing about her. Brinstar/mute/jungle japes/dk64 if counter picked against the right character can make it pretty **** hard to beat her.

I really don't think mikeal would place as high as cort in tournament. i mean look what happened to Bomb Soldier <_< LOL

Oh yeah Cort. I need to play you in CT. I really haven't seen a Peach as impressive as yours because you use her full moveset effectively. I'm trying to learn her more as well as a few other characters. I played both you and Brookman at Pound2 in teams and both Gamefreak and I did pretty well and I've not had a chance to play you 1v1.

I do apologize if I offended any Peach users earlier. I just wanted to stress how incredibly hard it is to win that her at high levels of play in 1v1, but still really fun to use even in tournaments.

Back on topic though. I find her incredibly fun to use in teams as well. Her dsmash is uber gay and hard to avoid. She also lives like FOREVER and that's always something you want. It's easier for me to find mistakes and punish them harshly with her in teams than in singles, but she needs to be teamed with an aggressive KO/Combo character like Fox or Sheik to be most effective in teams.

Why is it so important that I MM Cort for? If not gonna change anything. he still is gonna go on about how he is this and that. And He will just throw it in my face like he did a few post back. If I win, wont change anything. and if i lose......oh baby........ Sorry but I'll pass. its not gonna end. I'll MM someone like Bum. And also I'm gonna do both. Go all out with Peach alone. But when it comes down to me really haveing a hard time, i'll switch it up for one sec. then go back. But if it was like me hitting the finals and I had to go up against M2K's Fox or Marth, I'm staying Peach. ( yea yea I know he is a monster) But I want my main to give it a shot. since she is my best bet based on experience. I wont care if I lose. Im not here to continue this completely foolish argument about why you should not main Peach or only use her in tournaments. But i will say that after using her....she is a VERY limited character. I do great with her in many matches...but when it comes to Marth its like....annoying at most. But even though, Peach is a very good character, but can easily be counterpicked with Marth so its not a good idea to stick with her (unless your good at the match up >.>). Im a Young Link main and i use him ONLY in tournaments so i have a lot to worry about. But if i used Roy for some match ups, i would place way higher. Thats all im saying.

I stick to peach only cause my other chars plain suck, no matter how much I've tried to master some other char besides peach. But it seems to me peach is my only char I could use to my full extent. Originally I was inspired to play peach cause my buddy around that time was the only peach main in Finland and then Yuna came to RN6 and owned everyone cept wmk lol (don't ask how much finland sucked back then) and showed coco the way of float canceling (yea no smashboards for us yet) and I was a kirby main and wanted another char. In the end I ended up using some peach on the same tourney and won the match with dsmash spam. To me peach was unique, but easy to learn basics and easy to perform stuff with and she didn't really require any super advanced techs like waveshine to start to play as. She also wasn't overly fast or didn't feel weird like the other high tiers to me, so thus I chose peach as my co-main and over time my peach became better than any of my other character and stayed that way. Nowdays I play many chars on casuals, but even while I've been playing fox for a long time now, still not tourney-viable and I'd just get 4 stocked by everyone that can decently own spacey. >_> On casuals I've been trying to use sheik, marth, falco, fox, link, ganon, kirby, pika, falcon... *list goes on* but I can't seem to grasp the characters at all. So I stick to peach. ^^

This applies to me as well. which is why i dont really have a choice of the matter and just have to go all Peach if i even want some chance of winning in tournaments

i was sorta joking with what i said trying to get cort to come to our tournament lol. i agree with you on your idea of mains, i main samus and only really play samus competitively in tournaments. my secondary is jigglypuff who i use strictly in doubles (my partner is fox and i love jiggz/fox team) but in singles i use jiggz like 5% of the time. even againt crazy hard matchups like sheik or falcon, i still go samus, and only samus.

although i have found in times before that challenging someone (even if u kno theyr better than u) to a set (and sometimes a MM guarantees the best of skill, but only like $1, why throw away more money) its almost like closure on a situation, as long as the two players are mature enough to not have to rub it in the other persons face. there shouldnt be any more arguing and everyone should just play the game as they please.

if you money match 20 dollars... best of 5 it always settles anything. cause nobody wants to toss away 20 bucks. so theres no johning there of sandbagging... and it's the better player winning.

granted the whole i am better even thoo i lost look at my experience is hard to argue if your giving away 20 bucks. but honestly its cort.....
