Well, that certainly was an interesting Smashfest biweekly, especially considering those who are losing interestest in Brawl. We have Orlando, Ian, Cameron, Ariel and probably more who seem to be backing out of Brawl but at the same time we're getting people like Ex-Yoshi guy (you were Yoshi's last hope... until you abandoned him...) and Benjamin coming in and kicking ***. I'm curious to see what the future holds for Brawl at Cameron's Smashfests.

Wilman: Use bucket more. In our battles I kept wondering why you never used it. It's radius is crazy; you can suck up PK fires easily even though they're fairly short ranged. While yes, you can get hit slightly when you use it it's almost always worth it unless you're at over 100%. As well, learn to steal Lucas' thunder (har har) and you'll be set. Not only will you kill the little bugger very easily (once again, that bucket radius is broken) but you'll almost always get a full bucket out of it since the tail from the PK thunder sperm counts as a bunch of little hitboxes. Of course, then I'll just counter-pick with my Spamus... and lose...

Ben: I hate that **** down smash. I noticed that you had a bit of trouble dealing with the PK thunders off the edge so here's how to ROB counter that: if you can, just forward air the thunder ball. Or, if you want to be even cooler looking and you're high enough to do so, just shoot one of your crazily aimed laser beams and hit Lucas. When hit he loses his thunder.

KingAce and co.: Man, next time I'm naming my team Team Percon/Niko/JL or something. It seems to work. "Only in Niagra" will be our cheer!

Ian: Sorry for up smashing you so much (I think I did it three times... with a few forward smashes here and there). When in desperation mode I tend to up smash). I think we did fairly well otherwise though. I'm still balls at teams it seems but I'm slowly getting better, ja'?

the secret to marth vs sheik is to grab him and not stop grabbing and do nothing but grab because mike won't let me do anything else really.

oh and needles.

nurgle. oh and azen said "you have to outgrab her" when mike asked at pound 3. so just grab her a lot.

Starcraft LOL builds were pretty fun, I'm gonna have to practice bunker rushing against computers to get used to all the multitasking that you have to do. I was kind of overwhelmed to be honest (is his micro good enough? NO IT ISN'T!). Were you actually having fun playing SC though? You seemed kind of bored/tired or something.
Yeah SC was fun, but after a frustrating time with brawl, i was some what frustrated with the fact that stupid overlords were always in the right place with just enough time to counter attack. I'm going to rethink where the proxy raxz should go, in order to hide better.

hola

it was a lot of fun commin' out to the smashfest, I look forward to #6. I'd drop by next weekend but I'll be in toronto. I gotta say I do wish people liked brawl a bit better, but I think that since I never played ssbm too competitively that I've adjusted quickly to brawl, and R.O.B. was basically made for me :)

next time, I do want to get in on playing some Go with you guys, but after basically 1h20 of semi/finals I just wanted to get home lol... harold, your god**** lucas is good in 1-1, next time I'm commin for ya ;)

also I dunno your name but toon-link, I had a way harder time against you than you think I did lol... Your spacing is good and your combo's are great (yeah, brawl combo's... wanna fight about it?) but you rely on them too much. If you varied slightly more I prob. would have lost.

anywho, until next week (count on me showing up for the bi-weeklies regularly)... team KingAce represent!

Haha, yeah! It's funny how I won the biweekly (and yes, a higher pot makes victory taste so much sweeter!) but then lost, using all of my characters, to your Old Manondorf twenty times in a row. :dizzy:

Arsenic and I should totally form the ultimate team, him with Old Manondorf and I with Captain Falcon! It will be an unstoppable force against anyone....except for Bowser. Bowser for ban tier!

Well there are bi-weeklies (low scale tournaments) at Fogel's (Cameron) house every other friday. Cameron also holds regular smashfests on non bi-weekly days. You can PM him for more details/directions about the smashfests. The bi-weeklies themselves are run by Arsenic so any questions regarding the bi-weekly should be sent to him.

If you are willing to travel theres a tournament in Montreal on the 23rd:

I gotta say I was impressed by the Halo Kid's weapons, very well done for cardboard and such.

he's very talented, and i think in a league of his own... it's not the accurate WORKING/MOVING models, and it's not his detailed suit... it's the fact that he can basically imitate the gestures frame by frame with an eerie accuracy usually reserved for computer recreations... that teabagging motion was flawless

good to see more new blood coming out :) you old timers can't let us new folk show you up can you?

Theres no actual Canadian tourney listing to my knowledge, just a forum with all tourney listings. However if any Canadian tournaments are happening they will most likely be advertised in this forum either in its own thread or within one of the city threads.

Alright, thank you. True, it will most likely be posted here or in the appropriate city thread. Makes sense why I couldn't find it, lol.
