Sooooooooooooo.....can anyone join? Or do you have to have some kind of accomplishment or be a pro or something of that affect (effect?). If anyone can join I would love to!
The tournmanet has two portions... during the round robin, everyone is playing at the same time and thus match outcomes must be agreed upon for points to be awarded. The only way this system fails is if a majority of the entrants are being dishonest. How else though can you run an online EVENT (as opposed to a league).Im going to enter this, but i have a question, since it's online, there won't be anyone to watch the matches to varify who won and who lost, so what happens if someone loses and yet says they won the match while the other person who won the match is saying he/she won the match.....
is there any steps that you guys are taking to not let this happen
I guess I have not really discussed this yet. We currently have very good connections with TeamSpeak. In fact, our server number is : 70.87.162.50:8788This sounds like an awesome way to introduce people to playing online, and having fun! I really want to join this! Here's a suggestion: since you can't exactly talk very well through the wii, maybe we could set up some kind of instant messaging channel via computer, so we can all talk to each other while we are gaming. Or we could use these forums, whatever seems better. Just a thought.
Who has already added the email<--This is the best way to approximate it. I've had players PM me and tell me they will do this process when they get the game. Take into account players that haven't even thought of going online yet to find friends. That's the best answer I can give.A few questions I have...
how many people are sincerely interested in joining?
You have 3 options when submitting your results:Obviously, when so many people have gathered together for this kind of online community, there will be disputes and such, and they have already been mentioned. But since everyone is playing at the same time, what about people who say they will be playing, but then something comes up, and they are unable to participate? Or how about people being unavaliable because they are in a match? Will these matches be timed?
I'm glad you feel that way. Even if this tournament somehow flops... hopefully you at least found one player to practice with online. This looks like a cool opportunity to play, and I'm looking forward to it!
Each match is a 1v1. You either create or join according to your schedule. But you don't have to play your matches in any official order. One question: how many enemies should we battle in one match?
The judges for the elimination bracket will record and upload hopefully all of those matches. If you wish to record your own matches, we will have an account for that which you can send us a video to for.Second post:
Also, is somebody from OBC recording the tournament?
Nope, there hasn't been a wii message in a while. Expect one later this week to have some important updates.Um have you sent any wiimail recently? I recently unplugged my wii for transportation and I forgot to plug it in. I will be able to in a day or two.
We won't make it a requirement... but it's highly recommended. It will make match finding much much easier. Let's put it this way. If you aren't using it... even if it's just to find a player... you're putting yourself at a huge disadvantage.I think you should make it a requirment to have teamspeak and voice chat.... it would make things SO much easier...
That would be a good idea if everyone's Wii was next to their TV set. It would make things a hell of a lot easier to coordinate, but unfortunately thats not the case.I think you should make it a requirment to have teamspeak and voice chat.... it would make things SO much easier...
We're still wiating to see what kind of lag we will face. All that talk about US not prepared yet for Brawl since the game is not out yet. We can't assume that players currently playing the japaneses version is the type of lag we will be facing.Sorry if this has been answered but what would happen if you are faced against an east coast person and you are from the west coast?
..Sorry, I am almost positive its been said but when is this being held?
