Definately around 13: I know how to do all the advanced techniques, but I have no opportunity to use them (I lack any kind of Smash community that I know of) and therefore can't get any better at them.

I'm about 19, cause i've never been in any tournaments and only just started to learn wavedashing.

placing well in local tournaments and being the best in town doesn't really cut it. i've been that way for years, until good norcalers started coming down. i've beaten a few people in the norcal power rankings in tournaments, and have played (and been beaten by) a lot of high-rankers like the germ, lunin, zelgadis, and every norcal falcon's idol: silentspectre.

it's all a matter of experience. no johnz.

that would put me around 35 or so
im better than all of you
truth.

either sandbag or the perfect control fox. although smashtom ranks pretty high on there as well ^^.

mmm i hope i'm a 35-39... otherwise i've wasted alot my efforts =_=. na jk... smash is way to fun to be called a waste =) meh... i should've gone to OC2 or NCT II... ah well... once the NCT Blue replacement organized by DBR comes along...

hey since i did better than WoZ against M2k at a smash fest last weekend that makes me better than him right... LOL...getting him to 110% on his first life wouldn't have been TOO bad... except he wasnt trying...hmmm yeah my 29 from b4 seems pretty dead on

EDIT: oh and being the best in your town doesnt make you even above a 15... i have been the best in my town for the past 5 years and haven't lost in a single tournament there but i still don't WIN decent tournaments...

oh and going by tourny placings doesnt make sence... someone could tie for last at KotC and be able to **** someone in like say a midwest tourny because the level of competition is TOTALLY different in the 2 areas

I would say I am probably a 35/50 or a 7/10. I have been to many tournaments by now and tend to do rather well in all of them. I have played against the best that Florida has to offer and although I cannot beat the very top players, I am not so far off that I have no chance of catching up.

Well... I think I don't have too much more to learn, or better I would say I think there's no much more that I'm able to learn. I started competitive Smash 3 years ago, I've played several tournaments, and I finally think I can't be the best, there's a level I can't surpass.

So I'd say... around a 7~8: there are many people over me. (hope to play them in Brawl)

Here's the requirements for your skill to pass a certain level:

0-9: For each level computer you can just beat.

10-19: For advanced techniques you know. The lower half if you know 1 or 2 advanced techs, to the higher half for knowing the majority and being able to perform all/most of the SSBM compendium. This includes SHFFL'd aerials, wavedashing and variations, edge hopping and hogging etc.
For 10-19 shouldn't it be techniques you can perfom at will?
I know a lot of advanced techniques but can't perform them (slow fingers).:embarrass

Based on that I'd put myself at 10/50. :ohwell:
Or 5.5/10 if 5 is an average player.
