Are you crazy, bombslide better of SWD!!!I have a question, I was watching Mikenasty's video and he used the Bombslide, (I like Bombslide better than SWD), and I noticed that he is always behind the bomb when it explodes. So does that mean that in order to, say, bombslide right, you have to go behind the bomb (left) and then press right? Like, does the placement of the bomb to Samus matter?
No, he is doing the easy(alright I'll use your terminology) bombslide. There are two different ways to do it, but it remains constant that you must be pressing one direction the instant before you touch the ground, and the opposite direction the exact moment after landing. Whatever way you want to do it is fine, it sounds like he is simply holding the opposite direction, so that way he already has one direction covered. Sooner or later, everyone should learn the standing bombslide, which is flicking the two directions before you touch. If done this way, your opponent doesn't know what direction you are going to go.I have a question, I was watching Mikenasty's video and he used the Bombslide, (I like Bombslide better than SWD), and I noticed that he is always behind the bomb when it explodes. Yes! Start playing again, your Samus was good. This thread has almost died, with an exception for that one post, this thread hadn't seen any action since Christmas. Only still open to help SWD beginners. If i could ever start to care about smash again maybe i could break my old on tape record of 10.
what you guys think
And here's the thread.Nigzel said:Simple as this; when in morph ball mode you will be able slide a little there, and a little there. Those slides have the same speed as the SWD (speed, not distance in any way). So, while sliding forward and backwards you will actually do small parts of the SWD (Yeah, you do. Shut up.), but you will be stopped the very next frame. That's why you slide so far from the SWD, there are no Morph ball frames after the moving on frame 41 to frame 42. THAT IS WHY THE SWD IS THE SWD!
That Jigglypuff slide seems more like a moonwalk then a SWD.So yeah, it seems to work in the same way, with a change in the character's animation and horizontal movement, between running speed and jumping speed, rather than just a turnaround thing, but I could be wrong on Jiggs' SWD.
