Changing subjects... I like Super Smash Bros. Rumble as a name for SSB4. Also, about Mega Man.... I don't know if Sakurai wants Mega Man or even any third-party characters at all. I mean, Kojima had to beg Sakurai to add Snake and he was practically forced to add Sonic by Nintendo and Sega. If Mega Man is to be in the game, all Capcom have to do is pick up the phone and call Sakurai... not sit and stare at the phone, become mad with each passing minute, and hold his breath and hope that the next time the phone rings it would be Sakurai. That's apparently what the Mega Man creator did. LOL

Personally, I think Diskun could work better as a Tabuu-like boss than a playable character.

I like most of them including: Medeus, Andross, Giygas, Mother Brain, Marx, HG/SS PKMN

I don't like: Vaati or Gannon (I think Vaati should be playable w/ that as his FS), Kid Icarus boss i don't think it should be, Maybe King Hippo.

I used to support Vaati for Brawl.... that was back when Vaati and the Four Swords games were alive and kicking. But since Nintendo isn't making new Four Swords games anymore, Vaati is not likely now than before. So, I am hoping that Vaati could, at least, make a boss appearance.

That doesn't count. Ice Climber was (and still is) a dead franchise so they got in as retro characters. Vaati is an obsolete character in a franchise that is still alive and kicking... making him less likely. I know its weird but its how it is.

Yeah, but if we take all the recurring bosses we won't have any Zelda PCs besides the ones we already have. Then again there are bosses like Phantom Gannon or ones that are generic i.e. Earth Temple Boss, Water Temple Boss, you get my point.

What a bout a Toon boss? Molgera? It, i think, is the most well known WW boss, maybe a boss from ST?

I have to agree with Arcadenik. While its certainly true that older charactercan get in, its almost always when they are the main character of their series, and usually when their series is dead. It just doesn't make sense to use a older, unused character from a series that's still progressng and getting new characters. (I.E. why Geno doesn't make sense)

Plus, if a LoZ character who hasn't been used in awhile should in fact be used for Brawl, it should be Skull Kid. (Then again, he actually does keep on showing up just without Majora's Mask)

And as far as a Zelda boss goes, Ghoma or Ganon himself seem like the only logical choices.

Personally, I would love Ganon to be a boss in SSB4. I am biased towards Aquamentus as a boss, too. A dragon with a horn like an unicorn is always cool in my book.

To my knowledge that was a false rumor. This is the only thing Sakurai has stated on third party characters:

"Adding characters from other series and from other worlds, really, outside the Nintendo universe, is an incredibly difficult process. In some ways it's more difficult from just building a game from the ground up because you're really trying to make everything match and in some ways that creates limitations. I hope that people can understand that's the reason we can't include more characters from outside the Nintendo universe. And, of course, I believe that when you increase the number of worlds, you're also increasing the number of people who could potentially enjoy that videogame and the series that you're putting in there. But there are also problems because having these non-traditional characters in there -- even with just Snake and Sonic -- has resulted in a number of people who do dissent in seeing these characters put into the Smash series. It's not a simple matter of adding as many worlds and characters from other games as possible -- you can't be careless in doing that sort of thing, you have to be careful. Internally and externally, there have been people who have raised objections to it. "

By that statement alone it seems to indicate that we may not see another third party character enter the Smash universe. Not that it is impossible, but obviously it is a lot harder than simply asking for permission and copy/pasting content. I hope they never remove Snake or Sonic because of this perceived "dissidence", if so I would blame the purists and "certain" users on this forum... Still I think Megaman stands the best chance of any third party character, and the "dissidence" is very small in regards to the whole community (casual and "pro").

And when asked if any other third party developers wanted their character in Brawl Sakurai simply replied, "Nope. No other ones."

Well, I am a purist. I would like Snake and Sonic gone in SSB4. But since they are too popular to be removed, I suppose there could be a compromise. I would like to, at least, keep Sonic and remove Snake since fans did ask for Sonic, not Snake, and add Mega Man because fans do ask for him.

This makes me LOL sooooo hard.

Sonic got in solely due to popularity, which means a ****LOAD of people wanted him. Snake got in because MGS's creator is buddies with Sakurai. Sonic is waaaaaay more deserving than Snake, and he might just have a better chance of staying than him.

Unless you're referring to them tier-wise.

If Nintendo keeps going down the path that the Wii initiated, then these ill minded gamers(basically a large part of the Wii fanbase) are just going to keep buying these stupid, trash games that the Wii seems to be full of. Nintendo will just bathe in money with these effortless games that they're producing so much of right now. I'm pretty sure that Nintendo won the console war through this way. As a previous Nintendo fan, all I can say is just....I'm disappointed.

Other Third Parties I want: Black Mage, Knuckles, Shadow, Amy (Face it we'll probably end up getting at least one of those 3), Megaman, Bomberman, and I think that's it.......

I know most of these won't get in, but think about it, they all "fit the requirements". (these are the supposed rules) 1. Nintendo console 2. Originated in a videogame, is that it? The most likely ones are MM, Bomberman, MAYBE one of the sonics, idk about their chances, Black Mage has a good chance because not only did he appear on Nintendo console, it was in a Mario Spin-Off. But again they are all likely but the most likely are Megaman and Bomberman.

Bomberman has history w/ Nintendo if I'm not mistaken and Megaman will get in like Sonic.

I know but darn it, it's just that I don't want him in cuz I know he has all those weird powers in his new game, but doesn't he hafta transform to use them? Plus, this may just be me, I think he's too much like Kirby in a way. He's "cute" (i guess or "cartoony") and he just reminds me of Kirby a lot. I'd rather have a whole bunch of different characters then Stafy.

That's were FE could come in about the no more sword-users. (Not just FE but it's the best/easiest example) We have lances, people that transform into animals like lions, magic users (Micaiah), Dragons (but I don't think so), and a bunch of other weapons.

This is why Ganondorf should NOT have a sword, but a magic based moveset (for those of you that want it changed). He could use those energy balls from OoT.

yes snake is the 2nd best character in the game i know he may leave but i want him to stay [in game for brawl sonic is ****]
