TBH, you're most advantageous when you land. Always try and fall off the traveler prematurely to land on whatever section of the plaza is below before your opponent, to initiate free juggling. Use the walls to wall release. Remember at the area with the shine sprite bell, there are no ledges, but you can rise through the floor. The stage shifts are supposedly random (I gotta check this). Don't try too many floor attack tricks, but remember that a Dancing Blade will allow you to re-land on the stage from under the floor without using Dolphin Slash sometimes. Spike people that fall in the water, or try to attack you from under the floor of the traveler. Don't fight Samus here. Caution against D3.

I also really like the fact that sometimes on the traveler, it is set up like Battlefield so you can DS and land on the top platform. I real like this stage, I say 8/10.

FYI Pierce, I do not believe the stage changes are random. I'm fairly sure it goes in an order.

This is a good Marth stage. Some walls allow dtilt fun, and there's a lot of movement required, which Marth is good at. 8/10

Also walk off edges allow Marth to get safe kills with easy to land moves like dancing blades at fairly low %'s. Just be wary not to let yourself get killed by staying too close to the edge.
Also realize that not EVERY wall allows for infinite dtilt pokes since they can smash DI up(at least to my experience). Some of them are a bit too short.

My friend tells me this stage is the only stage that semi-counters MK......

If its true that just makes it even better for Marth, but even then a really good Marth stage. Esp. the umbrellas that act as small platforms. Opponents can be punished for an incredible amount of damage there.

There is one stage change though where there is no ledge. I believe you are on top of a roof or something, but if you are on the house on the right there is no ledge. Hope somebody knows what I'm talking about.

8.5/10

Yes, I know what you are talking about I think... I believe that you can go up through the floor to recover there, I think that's what Pierce was talking about.

I think pierce was talking about the moving platform that transitions between stages and dropping before it approaches any section to set up for juggling.

3x is talking about the section at 1:39 in this video(random video):

I picked 1:39 because you can see the ledge he's talking about.

Ok awesome side-note.

I was fooling around with a friend today in friendlies and he was mk. Don't even ask how I got him there, but on the section where there's a little puddle of water in the center with random jumps and drops in height(1:55 in this vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSXDr_kL1cI ) I grab released mk while facing the right at almost 10-20% and fair'd him out of the stage.

Thank you walk-off edges.

Decent stage for Marth, the water sucks IMO. And this is a safer stage platform wise for people to play against Marth on. It's a lot harder to **** platforms on this stage.

Marth has bad recovery, and he has a spike. Why exactly is the water bad?

lol yeah, I disagree, I think the water is very helpful for you in many occasions.

Besides the beautiful scenery, d tilt spots are waiting to be used, and walkoff edges. A lot of what Bengals said is why I like the stage, I just love it for Marth.

9/10 IMO

I was playing a ditto marth match today on this stage and im not sure if this happens a lot but my friend was in the water and i was on the side (i was on the ground and hes still in the swimming, not drowning, position), and i send him flying off the screen with a tippered f-smash. I dont think he jumped because i didn't see him leave the water and he was surprised as well, so does this mean f-smash or maybe just the tip hits people in the water? Sorry if this was obvious before but I have never seen it.

Sadly, I don't play on this stage enough. From what I've seen when I have played on it, he's pretty good on it. I'd say an 8/10.

I will agree with everyone else. This stage is one of Marth's better stages for sure.

As someone mentioned before here are why...

Pros -
Water
Wall
Grab Release
Walk Off Ledges

Cons -
Water
Chain Grabs
Campers

I do like the water since once you are in it, its bad news for your opponent. I wouldn't say spike ALL the time. It is better to just hit them with a strong attack. For example, if someone is in the water and is close to the Island, just down tilt then run off and F-Air them. It keeps them at bay and I'm sure you can hit them once more with another F-Air or something else that you desire. If they are not KO'd after that then try to just keep them at bay. Wait for the stage change and proceed to edge - guard them like in a normal match but more advantages on Marth's part.

The walk off ledges are a con but can back fire on Marth if not played with good mind games. If you just try to Sword Dance them off the screen, they will roll and punish you for that which will lead into to a KO. There are many other actions you can pull off with the walk off ledges but you have to creative but not too creative if that makes any sense. Just to make sure, I'm saying try to be different so you pattern or movements are not easily read but not so creative that it takes too much effort to pull off.

I won't say anything about the wall's since it seems everyone has covered that topic for sure but I will state that you can get out of the D-Tilt with Smash DI. I have had people get out of this in tournament play. I had a feeling someone would get out of it sooner or later.

The last thing I will state is NEVER, I repeat, NEVER play Dedede here. He will rip Marth apart here any day. He has one too many advantages over Marth here. Too many gimps and chain grabs he can pull off on Marth.

My rating finally, 8.0 / 10...
