-he's looks too similar to Samus just differating in color plus have similar moves
- Resident Evil is more popular than Megaman

2.....not even close, megaman is far more known and is one of the most popular characters, resident evil wouldnt get in because of its pure conventional weapons use anyway, so what does it matter?
3.classic form is the MOST LIKLEY due to the fact that most people recognize it and it was his most iconic form. and I will laugh if not pity you when you are proven wrong.

Megaman's 20th anniversary thing. I think. Regardless, I really don't think that matters at all. Sakurai updates with whatever, whenever. I doubt he'll give the anniversary any weight while considering when to release Megaman (in the hypothetical situation where he does actually have Megaman to release).

I tried to decipher the above post. I really did. All I got out of it was that if they DID put him in, he wouldn't be in classic form, which, big surprise here, is an assumption, and isn't really based on anything.

No, you read it right, I don't think Megaman should be in Brawl. Why? Because simply put, I don't want any more 3rd party characters. Snake is already in so it doesn't matter what I think about him. Sonic's inclusion was welcome, but mainly because he should have already been annexed by Nintendo after it won the great Nintendo/Sega War of the early 90's. I don't want Super Smash Bros Brawl to turn into a free-for all involving every popular gaming franchise on the planet, because then it will begin to lose the off-the-wall, Nintendo-brand goofyness, and the truth is that just because a character is cool doesn't mean they belong in the Smash Bros. series. Honestly, putting a non-Nintendo character in Brawl makes as much sense to me as putting Optimus Prime in it. Sure, he's cool, but he's got nothing to do with Nintendo. I see adding in more 3rd party characters as opening the floodgate to the inevitable tide of sub-par, popular characters which populate most of the other consoles. Sure, Nintendo owns some crappy characters, but at least when it's All-Nintendo, there's some sort of protective barrier to filter out most of the things that are great on their own, but have no real relevance to Nintendo characters. Like Resident Evil, as Lord Hoka-however-the-****-he-spells-it so unintentionally pointed out. Or Final Fantasy. Or Spiro the Dragon.

However, all of that said, if Sakurai were to overrule those of us (or me, I guess, because I don't know if anyone still agrees with me by now), and decide to put in another 3rd party character, there is little doubt in my mind that it SHOULD be Megaman. He has the history with Nintendo, he has the history IN GENERAL, he has maintained consistent popularity over a period of almost two decades, and sports a unique style which would blend well with that of the Super Smash Bros. series.

In summation, I despise the idea of there being another 3rd party character (and thus am anti-Megaman for Brawl), but if one must be included, he certainly makes the most sense (so, I'm pro-Megaman-instead-of-any-other-3rd-party-character for Brawl.)

Since we already have two third parties, a third and final one from a series that is closely tied to Nintendo's past wouldn't hurt.

Now you have a very good point, but I think 3 is the max we should have, not 2. as you said
