Everyone around my school has been saying Obama messed up on the Oath into Office. Is it true? I heard like, the last minute until the other man declared Obama as president, but that's about all.

No, I think the guy reading the Oath messed it up, I'm not sure, I thought I heard that being talked about on the news.

Ohh here I go talking about Canadian Politics. But then again the Obama craze was similar to Trudeaumania. With all the youth seeming optimistic about them.

No they guy messed it up. Obama memorized it(wow is he dedicated?) and the one doing the oath forgot a word, so Obama had the "Wut?" face and every one in the Library was class was "lol".
Are you sure? While the judge was telling him what to repeat Obama cut him off because he thought he was finished. And then when the guy gave him the second half it seemed like Obama forget it half way through so he paused so that the judge could remind him. Only when the judge tried to tell him he mixed the order of the words around so Obama just said it differently because it sounded wrong either way. Not really a big deal but I don't think it was the judge's fault.

No, it wasn't Obama who messed up. The judge guy, I think, flipped some parts. They were saying that on the news.
The start of it was Obama's fault because he started talking before the guy stopped, but the second half was the Judge's fault. He said the word order wrong, Obama said the right parts then waited for the Judge to correct himself then went on.

It is. IF they screwed up the oath Obama wouldn't be president sworn in. Luckily Obama memorized it. Of course Obama got a little excited and went ahead.
The oath really doesn't matter. The president-elect takes office at noon eastern on January 20th regardless if they've taken the oath or not.

I just wanted to say that I woke up at 5 in the morning and went down to the national mall. It was freezing, but my frends and I squeezed through crowds and crowds of people, and by the time the inauguration started, we could actually see obama in person. One of my neighbors made about 1000$ (Im not kidding at all.) selling hand and feet warmers

In other words, it doesn't mattered even if he butchered the whole thing, he still would have been President on noon.

I hate DVR so much. Mom kept rewinding it, so I was watching the same crap over and over, until she made me leave (Which ironically is the same time she stopped rewinding. >.>)
I saw the speech's at school though, fell asleep on the terribad poem. I kind of laughed on the inside when I saw it. I still don't like Obama's plan, but after the speech I think he's personally a pretty cool guy.
Eh, wears a bulletproof suit and doesn't afraid of anything.

America isn't divided into "white man", "black man" and "woman." What about an Asian president? A Latino president? An LGBT president? Hell, even just a president who claims to be something other than Christian? There are a lot of "firsts" left on the list.

Its not even his job to pull this country together, correcting stupid laws and passing the necessary legislation to get us out of this ****hole is the job of congress, good luck trying to make them do anything useful though.

A president although not able to pass any legislature (with veto power however) is the head of the country still. His spirit and leadership skills as a sole person is most important than any other person whether in Congress or the Supreme Court. The country needs a good president, whether or not he can DIRECTLY change any of the faulty legislature. What he can do is indirectly influence a positive change in the country, and that is what we need, to continue forward.

I would say we need congressional representatives who put their country before their reelection. That would solve our problems far more effectively than even the greatest of presidents could.

Why would I celebrate semi-socialism? He isn't a total socialist, but alot of the policies seem that way. But, who knows? He could be the one to make socialism succeed. I won't judge him until his first year in office, when the weight and stress of the presidency sets in..
