FINALLY! Po's Shout-Outs!

Yo, peeps! At last I get to do some shout-outs:

First, CHANG-STA: Your Falco was cool, man. I need to work on my mindgames more.
Good match.

ZINTH: Now I SOOO wish I hadn't played friendlies with you earlier. You were all over my Luigi, so I had to go to my under-developed Sheik. I need more mindgames.

DART: You are going to be such a monster in a little while. Just keep practicing dude.

HEATH & DERRICK: Dayum, homies! If you had practiced up a little bit more, the results probably would of had some more high-ranking Oklahomans. You guys gotta come down more often for
Smashfests and such. Great to have the Original Five all in one place finally. Now if my cousin would just show up...

SHADE: It's alright, man. Everyone has off-days, and unfortunately, this was yours. Good tips though in the one match we had. I'll be sure to work them into my routine.

WICHITA: You guys were all cool, I'm glad that you all showed. Great friendlies, DarkCobra. Next time, I know you'll give me another good fight.

KEROKU, SASORI, AND THE OTHER NEW GUYS: I'm glad to see so much new blood coming into the OK Smash scene. You guys keep practicing, and come to some Smashfests. A word of advice: Don't be so shy, guys! I know its scary, especially with guys like Zinth and KOS-MOS screaming about how gay or not gay Jigglypuff is... HA! HA!

DREW, SAND-TRAP AND THE REST OF TEXAS: Great seeing and playing most of you dudes again. Special mention to the Terrell Brothers for their crazy team play. Kirby Kid, I'll be ready for you next time, so I can get my $5 back from Marc.

MARC: You bozo! You were supposed to unleash the fury this time! It sucked seeing you have to fight nothing but other Oklahomans, at least you got in some good friendlies against everyone. Next time, we will show everyone just what we're capable of. Definitely.

VEGAFUSE: Good shizzle, man. I know it was tough, but you carried the rest of OK on your back and gave TX a hard time. We gotta practice some high-tiers some time soon.

KOS-MOS: Excellent, my man. You are most assuredly the Most Improved OK Smasher. I think I speak for everyone when I say we are proud of you. Keep going man, you're going to be great, I guarantee it.

Lastly, PAY$ and his F#%$ LV9 FALCO: You little piece of crap! We were supposed to cruise through teams, but you and your freaking CPU buddy had to ruin it! It's all good though. Maybe next time, I'll trade Marc in for a CPU Falco...

Alright, I'm out. So I gotta practice some mindgames and become a freaking monster like Chris. If only I could pull of an Anime-style super fast power-up. I can see it now: I'm playing Ken at MLG World Championships, I'm losing badly, and then I slam my fist down, say, "GEAR 2ND" and unleash a hyper combo that destroys Ken's controller, fighting spirit, and skills all at once. Oh yeah, I'm so freakin' RAW...

Ah, sorry, I'll try to do that today. The only reason I haven't gotten the matches off of the tape yet is that I have to use my mom's computer to do so, and I don't even know how to use the program she uses to do that. Also, I'm going to get the 2v2 up first, and the singles might be awhile. Why? Because the casing of the tape that I suspect has the 1v1s on it is messed up and my VCR won't accept it. I'm going to try to get that fixed though.

Man, why did I have to go against Dart? I probably coulda made it further if I had played anyone else. His blaster owned me. -_- I probably shouldn't have picked Corneria for my counter-pick though. Now that I look back on it that doesn't seem like it was a good idea.

No offense to Dart, but that was probably the most annoying thing I've seen besides camper bob being camper bob, and I find it very odd that people just let him SHL right pass themselves -_-. Marth can just fmash thru that once they are close enough, sheik with ftilt, anyone with anything that is decently fast >_>.

Anyways, I had fun at the tourney, I went on and off the entire tourney. I'm not a very consistent player >_>. But great tourney overall, hope to play everyone again some time.

I really hate playing at Corneria. It's possibly my least favorite stage of all time.

I personally couldn't SHL for as long as Dart, I have to attack, I'm more of an offensive player.

Well Sasori I spoke a few brief words to you ("You're Sasori?") but I never really properly met you or played against you. I was the tall white guy with a white shirt, red unbuttoned over-shirt, blue jeans, a dog tag, and poofy brown hair.

i thought i would be known as i am to pay$, "headband guy", or perhaps "the kid with the nosering", but i ended up being "the one who shouts v4gina". thanks DoH/oklahomans who left me to run almost everything.

edit: i can't believe i had to use v4gina instead of v-a-g-i-n-a...it's not profanity, it's anatomically correct, wtf?!

how were the brackets terrible? they were done by a program...and i seeded it by location. so, if oklahoma got screwed, it's only because the OOSers were kicking a lot of ***. and ok winners had to meet a lot since most of the people there were from oklahoma...thanks for insulting me. if you ever want to money match i'll take all i can.

The fallacy of bracketing by location is that skill isn't taken into account. Therefore the "best" of Oklahoma in Shade and KOS-MOS got worse seeds than Reno and Vega most likely.

But hey that's random for you.

Also OMG I haven't practiced since this tournament I better get to work ;)

ah, yeah, but i'd say vega got 5th by skill, as opposed to my luck. there are few small glitches like that, but all that matter are the prizes, and all 4 people who won money got there fair and square, so tada.

edit: i'm going to set up OK power rankings with this since some people wanted that, and i'll do it with the same system i was talking about on the OK thread. so, i'm going to start doing that now, but i need everyone to tell me who they faced from oklahoma in both singles and doubles so i don't leave any matches out. so like, my match against heathq will be counted since we're both from oklahoma, but any ok v ooser match doesn't count towards the ranking. i'll explain more when i put it up, but yeah, tell me who you faced in both singles and doubles so i can do that...

Actually a lot of Oklahomans had to fight other oklahomans at the tourny so we were basically kicking our own state's a**es. So when the quarter finals or whatever started we didn't have any oklahomans left because we knocked em out of the tourny :urg:

Well, that was bound to happen anyways due to the OOSers vs OKers ratio. There were only 7 ppl from TX, and I don't know how many other OOSers from other states, but there should be more OKers than OOSers easily. If it was evenly distributed, then there would sitll plenty of OKers fighting each other, just the circle of life. Heck, I had to fight my friend in my 2nd match, so it sucks for him too >_>. Even if you guys faced each other a lot, you would've eventually been beaten by an OOSers if no one was left near the end, so the bracket still works.

I only got to fight 2, maybe 3, OKers in the tourney, so I also had to play a friend really early in the tourney.

I got a bye first round, lost to Sand-Trap second round, beat Fresh in the loser's bracket, beat Po Pimpus in the next round of the loser's bracket, and then lost to Sand-Trap again in the next round of the loser's bracket. I don't really think we can set up power rankings from this tournament, considering that every OKer can't be connected, as I only fought Po Pimpus and Fresh, and it is unknown how I would have done against the likes of KOS-MOS and Vegafuse.

i think i would have to agree. since i only fought one oklahomie, and that was keroku the thunderwolf.

maybe a smaller, maybe free, mini-oklahoma only tournament would work better for that.

k, we'll wait until we can just do a pool where everyone can fight everyone else once to start, eh?

um, no, i didn't lose to heath...but almost, because of how nervous i was. kind of like how you almost lost to a lvl 9 computer...and DID lose to dart. $40 MM 1 round FD? sounds good with me! :) :) :)
(or $20 or $10 if you don't want to lose that much money)

i don't mean to ****-talk back on this, i don't like any oklahomans having an attitude with one another, but since you brought up my close match with heath, i had to bring up your close match with a level 9 computer...and your loss to dart. but, i will cease coming close to talking crap or insulting anyone...hopefully i can still get that 40 bucks though.

Hey, Rasta's right. This is getting out of hand... I believe Marc's problem stems from the fact that many Oklahomans(and OOSers) had to play one another in their first two matches. Perhaps the brackets could have been set up differently, I don't know. I don't have Tournament Maker, nor do I know how it works.

Reno, I'm not discounting your hard work in setting up and primarily running the brackets, nor your skill at the game, but from SOME peoples' perspective, it would seem interesting that the guy responsible for the brackets was one of the highest placing Oklahomans there. Anywho, I say if anyone is angry that the were knocked out of the tourney by another Oklahoman, they should opt to play better next time.

If anyone thinks they're better than another OK player, then prove it with a money match or play them at the next smashfest or tournament or whatever. Personally, I don't think we should be fighting amongst ourselves, but instead trying to improve.
Seriously, Texas came and kicked everyone's a$$ IN OUR OWN BACKYARD... No one in OK should be talking any **** right now. Unless your Vegafuse, that guy can talk as much shiz as he wants ;)

I don't really care how I placed, as long as I know that I'm better than most of the OKers who placed above me. It's not like I would have defeated one of the top-placing Texans for a top-placing spot anyway, lol.

Me and reno played a money match, it was for $1, but still a money match. He beat me, I is smarter than I thought, counterpicked the level to my character, they were all neutral stages, so I didnt think much of it at all. Reno, when I get that $1 lotto ticket, it better not be scratched!!!

Anyway, if you think you are better than another OK player, mm is the only way to do it. I think its pointless to mm OK players, you guys have already played each other enough to know the style of each other. If you want to see who is better, see how many stock you can take off Kuni's Marth, Chris's Peach, or Pablos.....anything, who ever takes the most is better than another.

Also, Ill be running the brackets next time, my parents are actually going to buy me a laptop just to run the brackets.

One more thing, Texas did whoop everybody's *****.

Your Marth is better than Shade's imo Zinth(not just saying that to make you feel better). His Fox and Falco though >_>.. are a bit difficult to take down sometimes.

Well, as long as I have the spot of "most *****assnessed Marth in the state," I suppose that brings me some peace of mind.

that's basically what i was trying to say po pimpus, is that texas pwned everyone but vegafuse anyway(he almost beat chang), so the rest of our places don't really matter, because we know who's the best in OK anyway.

the tournament maker was seeded by location, and if i was trying to cheat, why would i have put myself up against dr. drew? i...i don't like the assumption that i cheated, and i'm actually offended...mainly because i don't even give a **** what place i got and even said i didn't deserve it.

but, i'll remember never to help out again, since apparently all it does is piss everybody off. good thing only a few people appreciate that i set up both brackets, took in all the money and split it up, even getting the idea to set some aside for the next ohsnap, and ran every match. looks like rasta can do all the work now, so you can yell at him next time he does basically everything with a little bit of help from 2 or 3 people and the rest can ***** that they lost.

i think i'm done with a smash community now, with so many people taking it seriously, even insulting me. so, i'll go to the next smashfest to do the $40 MM, then i think i'll hang up my controller.

Reno, I do appreciate everything you have done, dont get me wrong, my parents buying me my own laptop (its not gonna be a good one...they said $50 was the max theyd spend) is so I wouldnt have to rely on anybody incase they couldnt make it.
I dont understand why everybody is making a big deal out of it, it doesnt matter what place you got because OOS dominated out tourny. Youre a good smasher Reno, you cant make everybody happy.
