Oh so that's what STD meant. I was thinking of something else...
We basically do that on Fridays already with how long it's been going for recently. All we'd have to do is stay for tea, hang some more and then drop off to sleep wherever we can find space,... and then sleep for the rest of the following day.
That sounds great. This Friday/Saturday would be a possible, it'd just depend on how much of my philosophy essay I can get done and if I can afford to hang for two days on the weekend instead of just one.

Also, I don't want to get involved, I just hate seeing my smash friends/heroes fight.

I do consider that an attack because if people read you saying that I'm calling them **** they may assume you are correct which will create annoyance at me.

For what it's worth, I'd agree with Luke on the original point. I'm not siding with him or anything like that, but aside from Zxv being all emo about ACL (understandable) I really don't see how our scene is dying, if anything we are doing a greater variety of things together (rock climbing, ice skating a while ago, etc.) than what we were doing before (100% smash) and spending more time with each other in general.

So, sorry if a couple of unfortunate events mean you get turned down a few times in one week, Ted.

I will be coming over tonight because I like you and want to spend time hanging out. I turned you down for rock climbing last week because I needed time for other stuff. I am actually not "free" as you seem to think, I have scheduled my time with TAFE for any kind of weekend/friday deal but any other day of the week I have to worry about catching up with work later. At best I am "flexible", but certainly not "free".

I really don't appreciate this current "thing" you have with our scene how we're lowering your hype; you control your own hype and your own attitude. Especially with the thing where you seem to think I'm always in a bad mood recently, when all I'm doing is the same thing I always do: hanging out with my friends. If anything your constant insistence that I'm in a bad mood -causes- me to get into a bad mood when all I was previously doing was having a leisurely conversation with foxy or something. If I was really not interested in this scene any more I'd stop coming to meets.

Sorry; I'll do my best to enjoy myself the next few days, because as I said, I really do think you're a cool guy and really do want to hang out with you. However this really needed to be said with how you've been behaving recently.

Just cause things don't go according to plan for just one week, doesn't mean this scene is dying; it's just a series of unfortunate events.

This scene is the best.

Anyway, had a bit of fun today bryte. Took a bit before we actually played some smash but w/e.

I'm not free at all this week. I had an interview today, and interview tomorrow and then 3 days of going to jobfind for my ready for work. (assuming i don't get the stupidly good paying job im having the interviews for)

I dont think the sydney scene is dying, maybe distracted lately but not dying.we still hang out and we still play smash. although competitively i think it is dying. we used to have tournaments often, now i cant even remember when the last tourney was held and no future tourney seems to be in sight.

in regards to your STD i should be good for this friday night ted. My ideal weekend would be to play smash till i get pissed off at my bad desicion making (which is what i want to work on now, dont care anymore about technical stuff or control) then play SC2 till i get frustrated with getting contained (which was how i was losing most of my matches on the ladder the other day), then back to smash and so forth.

ted let me know if this friday is going to be a STD. just so i can plan sat. remembering sunday is easter.

In an attempt to help lower the rage levels of this thread, I have taken it upon myself to start training myself for playing Starcraft (for Ted). I watched 3 Day[9] dailys (is that even a word?), including the infamous #100. Any good recommendations?

I got a good few for you, in approximate order of relevance.

#269, this should be the first thing you watch if you want to get into it, then
#252, when you're interested in actually getting technically good (also #257 and #261 which are follow-ups, 252 is the meat tho)
#285 will be good when you want to copy builds from pros
#100 obviously (watch this at least 4 times a year it is SO GOOD)

Most of the dailies are too specific to really recommend to a total beginner but defo start with those.

Oh btw guys I had an amazing combo (was maybe a 0-death I don't remember) on Scoot yesterday. It started off as something **** into Scoot falling on the floor, me landing the first hit of dash-attack to force a getup into groundfloat foward air ^_^
