Rules
IMPORTANT - You must bring and use a Gamecube controller
We don't want to use wiimotes incase they fling out of peoples hands and break monitors. I know this only applies for shake smash, but I'm not prepared to take any risks and neither are Gamerbase. There may be some spares but don't rely on this. Bring your own controller!
Keep the entrance freed up as much as possible, so regulars and customers can come in.
The maximum number of entries is 24 and you must pre-register to be guaranteed a spot. You can do that by either posting on the gamerbase forums or here.
If you register after 24 people, you will be put on the reserve list. It is still worth turning up as you may be able to enter if someone doesn't turn up, or if we 8 reserves.
Out of Regioners will only be able to register 10 days before the tournament. I apologise for those, but this is a regional ranking, and locals must take priority.
Venue - £5
Singles - £3 per person
Prize ratio: 60/30/10
Awards are given in the way of Gamerbase time. You must have a gamerbase account to be eligible.

Group Stages and Double elimination brackets
- Best of 3 - All finals best of 5
- 3 Stock
- 8 Minute Time Limit
- No Items
- No stalling or running away to purposely run out the time limit (running out minimal time is one thing, multiple minutes is just ridiculous)
- If you need to add your name to change your controls, please remember to do so, and do it quickly. You can not quit in the middle of a match if you realize your controls are wrong.
- Advanced Slob picks.
- You may not counterpick the stage you last won on.
- You may ban 1 random stage, or 2 counterpick stages.
- Standing Infinites are BANNED which include (but not limited to) Dedede's small-step chain grab. Dedede standard chain grab is fine.
- Ice Climber things are legal, as long as they aren't used for stalling.
- Metaknight Infinite Dimentional Cape is banned.
- If there is a dispute over controller ports, play Rock Paper Scissors for it.
- Suicide Move Rules: (all situations are when both players are at 1 stock)
- If a player successfully ends the match with either Bowser or Ganondorf's over B attack by suicide, then the player who initiated the move wins.
- If a player ends the match by swallowing with Kirby or DDD and falling off the stage and the game counts it as a tie, the player who initiated the swallow move wins. If the player who was swallowed is shown as winning the match (in the instance the broke out right before they died which some people might not notice), then they win.
