So I looked through all of MattNF and PD's posts in this thread and they never even posted their own list. No tier list and no list explaining their results vs people.

All they've essentially done in this thread is complain. Whether about people being above them, tier lists being dumb, and multiple other things.

They've basically added nothing productice to this thread. Atleast greginator and near, who say they don't like the list now, have posted lists.

If you think the tier list is dumb stay out of the thread. People like MattNF and PD are why these tier lists don't work, they contribute nothing but complaints.

I'm not posting a list because it would consist mostly of friendlies, which don't, and shouldn't count. If you wanted to earn even a tiny bit of credibility, then you would use tournament data, or better yet, have everyone who wants to be on this list play each other (preferably with 12CB, IMO) to see who's actually better and not just about random speculation.

Why is that such a "stupid" idea? Like i said many times. this list doesn't mean you cant win vs someone higher then you...it means people generally wouldn't expect you too

There isn't nearly enough online ssb64 tourneys to make a tier list purely off them. And theres rarely an online tourney where all, or even most of the top players enter and are forced to play each other. So there's really not a hell of a lot to gather from tourney results.

And it isn't random speculation. I know everyone I've voiced my opinion about, I've played a lot over the last 6 months to a year. I'm assuming thats how everyone's list is. I don't know how you could rank someone if you've never played them.

Also theres absolutely nothing stopping anyone from playing another person in regards to this Tier list. If someone puts you lower than you think you are, challenge them, pwn them, and help them change their opinion. Be a man. I'll play ANYONE who wants to play me anytime.

People tend to ignore the times that they lose against someone, and remember the times that they win. This can add a huge bias to anyone's tier list.

kabal owns me when i dont play fox or falcon. When I do hes not that hard. He destroys jigglypuffs.

The main problem when it comes to deciding the list is some of the prejudice coming from the thread. Like people refusing to vote MATTS! high... Every time I watch any sort of series of 1v1s featuring MATTS!, even against A-Tier players he wins the majority of the matches unless its paired with someone like JaimeHR(Which I still strongly disagree with Frogles and Sensei being in S-Tier).
Sheer even admitted himself that MATTS! gives him a harder time than most people being voted A-Tier. And that's not because hes a utilt spamming kirby, it's because hes a very good player =/
People have constantly stated that players like Fireblaster have gotten worse and shouldn't be A-Tier. Other players like MattNF have prevailed pretty high in a recent tournament so why isn't he being considered for A-tier?

Following the A-Tier I think there should be a split between B-Tier. High B and Low B.
High B being for players who have the potential to be A-Tier but are not consistent enough to be there yet. I'm making that proposal because besides Surri's recent videos, I've seen players like Near usually keep up with A-Tier players. Or like when I play a "serious" friendly match with some of the others being voted B-Tier like Legendary, Zhin, Saske, or Zod, they usually win like once or twice against me out of a series of (8 or more) matches(aka not winning enough to be considering it fully even).
I might give my list later on who I think should be High and Low B.

Actually MATTS! is not a good player he is a hard to deal with player that if you play slow, defensive and campy, you can beat.

I have never lost to MATTS! in a best of 3 set. He knows this but if he is willing to admit it it...thats another story. (even though Fireblaster and BoomFan where there the last time me and MATTS!! had a set)
