Probably because more people are coming for Brawl than Melee? I dunno, seems obvious to me. Melee and Brawl are both getting singles and doubles, so those things being equal, if only one event gets pools, given that more people are coming for Brawl, it makes sense to have pools for that event. I like Melee more, like most people here, but it's hard to argue with playing to the clear majority of your attendees.

and considering they may or may not have time to even do brawl pools to begin with, tacking on melee pools is probably unrealistic
