There was a problem fetching the tweet
Plus he just registered his twitter account which makes it seem more suspicious.

I never understood the whole "the Fighter Ballot will be used for the hypothetical Smash Bros. 5!" (or 6 if you consider 3DS/Wii U separate games) either.

I'd feel like it'd be more obvious if it was the official GAME twitter that tweeted it, and not an offshoot twitter for a different mini-branch of GAME. (There have been tweets by other branches of companies that turned out to be BS in the past) Although Yacht Club not shooting this one down, like they did with the other one certainly makes it way more credible.

A 5 Minute Trailer for 1 character.
I'm confused.
The longest Smash trailer so far was Palutena's (3:00 on the nose).
5 Minutes is a bit much, no?

Exactly that. There is no reason for a 5 minute trailer. Even if they confirmed THREE characters that wouldn't reach the 5 minute mark in all likelyhood. Pay him no mind.

Perhaps the trailer showcases the PoS DLC immediately after the reveal. I really don't believe this guy, though.

The only reason I could EVER see 5 mins. is because, (and not gonna lie, I kind of hope I'm right on this one) could we really be getting Shovel Knight, and a few more indies as playable Smash characters? Seriously, there is no way that 5 mins. will be all for ONE character. And even then, that 's suggesting that this whole thing is real.

He's straight up lying, the event starts at 8pm, and its still around 1-2 in Seattle
