Smash Sins sounds like a fun idea for a series. Going through people's post and counting how many "sins they have".

The reddit community will hate me even more. They aren't a fan of me since I told them that Sakurai never intended Smash to be a competitive game like it is...and it's very much designed to be an accessible fighter...and that ATs in Melee goes against every design principal Smash has ever had.

Just wanna say that 1 is the star of 3 popular games from the GBC,DSI and WII U while the other is a side character in a 1995 rpg.All i have to say on that matter

Actually...**** it, we should do Sins more often, especially for the game itself, only time someone did that was someone who was incredibly biased by saying Palutena has nothing original. You ****ting me? You get to do Wario, I got the Frog and anyone else, I don't know

He is a forgotten, barely anybody knew him, character.

I grew up with Nintendo and played almost all Mario games, yet I never heard of Geno. It started when brawl was coming out, and some people here and there requested this super random character.

I understand you really love this character, but he really isn't as important or popular as you think.
Sure, being in a Mario game makes you popular, but not always relevant to the series. There are a lot of other Mario characters that would be added into smash before Geno, for the reason you stated.

Also, you really need to stop with your "fingers in ears lalala" attitude. Only hearing what you want to hear, twisting and making things up so they fit what you want to believe.

He is forgotten because of the company but that didn't stop fans from remembering him and making him popular to this day and more recongnizable. Just like Crono Is dead but still popular to this day

It's started in brawl days because he was huge at the time because of the internet, it was one of the reasons why he is popular. And by the time goes more and more people new people started to know about him.

i only talk popularity and not the chances.

I will never, ever understand how some of these character requests gain steam.

Geno? Shantae? Shovel Knight?

It just doesn't make sense. It honestly seems like more people want characters like Shantae or Bayonetta than ever even played the games.

At least SOME of the fad characters have a shred of a reason to be in. But these random 3rd Party characters will always baffle me.

As long as people are willing to engage, then it's a fair discussion to have. If you are sick of it, stop entertaining it. If we start banning Geno discussion then we are going to need to ban Shantae discussion, etc.

First they tabled discussion on Geno, and I did not speak out-- because I hate Geno.
Then, they tabled discussion on Shantae, and I did not speak out-- because I hate Shantae.
Then, they tabled discussion on Ridley, and I did not speak out-- because I hate Ridley.
Then there was nothing to talk about because all the controversial subjects were banned, and the group was disbanded and went on their merry lives as the Zone became very boring.

My advice, if you don't want to talk about it ignore it. If you've been paying attention, I haven't engaged the "Geno debate" since the first or second time it came up because I really don't want to repeat myself.

Eh I don't hate Ridley, I think he's really difficult to make into a practical fighter. If Ridley fanboys were smart they would petition Retro Studios/ Nintendo to make a version of Ridley that could be eventually be a fighter in Smash. Not sure what that would look like, but Ridley's issue is purely source material. Not lack of familiarity or "worthiness" (as much as I hate that word), it's just that he can't work in a way that's practical in Smash. And yes, I've seen the mods. Those aren't practical. If Ridley got into Smash, I'd be pretty happy as it would add some character diversity.

Something I personally realized with Ridley was character balance, Ridley's also tricky there. However, that mod is pretty balanced now but I know what you mean, Ridley's stupidly skinny and although Other M's design works if you shrink the wings, nobody likes that design
