I agree, but, honestly, I never saw a reason to wait. We knew they'd release all/most the extra stuff over time by early august. That's just two (maybe 2.5) months of not playing a fun game and, arguably, falling behind in terms of skill. Also in terms of perks since at least two splatfest will be missed by that time.

Of course there are things in life that may make one wait, but as far as the actual game is concerned I just didnt see a reason to wait. I had fun in the beginning and I'm just having more fun as content is released.
I don't like shooters and I was worried I wouldn't like it.

Besides, I like challenges. :smirk:

I don't dream of that. I'd prefer a new smash or a new fighting game IP. I'd like to keep minor upgrades to old games to a minimum. If the NX is the Wii U's successor, then just make it bc and all is gravy on the sexy train.

Fair enough. Did you miss the testfires?

i mean as a launch title, tbh. I'd want them to make a new Smash too.

I don't get it.
Is it because it hit the time rip background in Magicant?
New Awkward Zombie.
Japanese culture has ruined me. I thought Ness was turned on from watching the battle. I think this interpretation makes the comic even funnier though!

(In Japan, character bleed from their nose when they are turned on).

Final Nuzlocke team will be, in order obtained

Wesley
Muscles
Amity
Karin
Yogi
Butch

It'll have to do... There's an okay amount of power between Wesley, Yogi and Butch and some sweet defence with Karin. Amity is a good revenge killer and Muscles is working okay with Hail/Blizzard/HP Fighting and Mirror Shot.

TBH, add Story Mode on that NX Launch Title Smash Bros list.

I love Subspace Emissary sooo much..
Nah, Melee Adventure mode tho. That would be awesome with other franchises added like Animal Crossing, Fire Emblem, Kid Icarus, the singular franchises and the third party in the mix.

..No though. It had no storyline. You just hopped through different levels.

Do you wanna see Ridley getting his butt whooped by Samus, assisted by Wario on a huge motorcycle, Giga Mac, two monkeys, all with an epic storyline behind it, while the whole setting around them is exploding in an amazing cinematic..

Or Mario hopping and staring at Donkey Kong, then fighting him.

That's SSE vs Melee Adventure Mode. I loved it too, but..

Like story matters IMO. I just want to jump through Nintendo worlds again like Melee and not have a story as stupid as SSE. Not every adventure needs a story.

Besides, the trailers did that for me. I rather just fight everyone in their own world while going through short levels and fights.

Plus it would be easier to get trophies and can give everyone great replayability, something SSE lacked considering most people drop it after unlocking everyone.

The story did matter imo. In the Melee adventure mode the cool thing is you're hopping around in different worlds. Not much else to it.

Imagine SSE2 but almost entirely set in Nintendo worlds and all that. An amazing story, beautifully animated cutscenes, character interactions, all in worlds we know and love.

SSE didn't have a stupid story, either.

If you want trophies, why don't we just bring back that trophy shot mode?

SSE took too much development time. I like it, but I prefer Melee's adventure. It was fast, fun, and imo didn't get repetitive. I loved to speedrun it with all the characters and challenge myself- I ended up successfully clearing Very Hard with every character.

A hypothetical Story/Adventure Mode in Smash 4 NX (hypothetical game) or Smash 5 should be a bit light on the content. We don't need a million of stages, just give us 20ish short but sweet well designed quality levels (as opposed to Brawl's 31 which several were very long). I don't think we need much of a story, I feel that would restrict what character you may play as. I think it's better to have a light story so you can play as anyone on any stage as you like.

I think SSE was overly ambitious and felt like they focused too much on the flashy cool stuff rather than making the levels interesting.

SSE's world was too drab and boring to me.

The idea of a neutral setting being all brown and gritty when you got all these different characters together doesn't sit well with me.

SSE was so boring and repetitive a game fulled with nintendo icons with unique worlds and villians gets shifted for generic mountain area and boring mooks.Smh

Just use textbox conversations instead of cutscenes if they want story mode in Smash

Than again most nintendo characters dont really talk much, but thats nintendos fault

Here's what I'd do for a new-era adventure mode;

-Make the stage-by-stage design like Melee's. Intersperse fighting stages, sidescrolling stages of Melee's length, etc. Throw in some twists here and there based on the stage that's used.
-Have one "stage" for every franchise, with some getting two parts per stage, like Melee. (Mushroom Kingdom to Peach's Castle, Hyrule Dungeon to Hyrule Temple, Big Blue to Mute City, Two little Kongs to big DK at Japes, etc.)
-Have different paths to use on the sidescroller stages that lead you to different levels.
-Give a third part for some special things. Like, beating the Kirby squad fast enough lets you fight Giant Kirby in Melee.

Stuff like that. End it out with a unique boss or Giga Bowser.

Honestly, I found it disappointing how Sm4sh had no Adventure Mode at all. Smash Tour isn't that much fun and Smash Run can get repetitive. 3DS classic was cool, though. I don't like 8 player Smash being in 99% of the Wii U's Classic matches though.

I don't get it can someone explain?
Magicant takes place in Ness's mind (well the specific design of 4's Magicant is based on Ninten's magicant not Ness's but for the sake of the joke it's meant to represent Ness's magicant) so the X-bomb explosion causes a small explosive reaction in Ness's head thus him getting a nosebleed.

Ugh, my gamepad stopped working. Won't charge either. This is just great. I can't even unscrew the battery hatch because I need a type 0 screwdriver. What the **** Nintendo!
I'm going to buy a type 0 screwdriver tomorrow, to take out the battery and put it back in again. I really hope I don't have to spend more money on this dying console fit a replacement battery, I already need another controller for smash since my classic controller. **** you Nintendo.

I'm with you regarding having a preference for Brawls adventure mode compared to Melee's. I loved both the story and the game play of it and was severely disappointing when I found out Smash 4 wasn't going to feature a SSE like adventure mode.

Of course Sakurai is aware of Anna's presence. He's a fan of Fire Emblem, and he plays Nintendo games to make Smash Bros. Just because he's aware of a character doesn't mean they will get in. He's aware of Waluigi,..and Waluigi is unlikely to get in anytime soon. Smash isn't a high school anime!

(Quick, someone make an image)

Sakurai signs a poster of a can of Sprite

IT'S HAPPENING. SPRITE CAN IN SMASH BOYS
Thats because Sakurai obeyed his thirst.

Love your icon, bubby

Yeah. The story was my favorite. Just stuck with me, really.
