It's less about the pedestal Burb has been put on (if Burb leaves the group falls apart, if Burb leaves so goes the logic!, etc) all things that have been said about him, that haven't really ever been said about the rest of us, really.

And more to do with the fact I no longer feel comfortable talking to you guys, because once again someone swoops in and just makes me feel like **** for feeling a certain way about something, today it was Burb, in the past it's been the rest of you.

How do you expect someone to post with you on a social media forum when you keep telling them ''Your opinions are bad!"

I've never once said anyone here had a bad opinion, in fact I've been respectful of you guys opinions.

I've never put someone down for an opinion. I wasn't even putting down people wanting RE characters. You can want whatever you want. I've said so much as that in the past.

I just gave my opinion. And it was crapped on through Burb and his pulled out of nowhere Bayonetta crap.

When I respect everyone's opinions and wishes I expect to feel it back.

I don't feel it back. You've done this to me time and time again. In different instances.

That's more what it's about.

How can I be expected to say anything when I feel like the floor is eggs and I have to tip toe?

Getting back to the topic at-hand, what's the general consensus on the state of those two MarioD slots? Pre-ballot or post-ballot? Personally I'd say pre-ballot, because I don't feel like they'd start work on or even "reserve" ballot slots on-disc for something that won't be finalized until October.

My personal guess for the leftover DLC amount is 3 min, 6 max. 3 because of the two pre-ballot DLCs, and then the ballot winner, and 6 if they're feeling generous, but in no way can I see us getting more than 10 DLC characters total.
Pre-ballot. I'm predicting they'll announce 2 characters in an August Direct and then they'll start work on the ballot picks a little bit after the deadline.

I don't even give a damn if you disagree, it's never been about that, but please for the love of good respect me if I'm respecting you.

I don't give respect wanting to get disrespect back.

Well, Splatoon just got leaked really badly.
Apparently, a modder by the name of NWPlayer123 (the person who made the Wii U Kernel Exploit) has been data-mining the game and found all of the future "DLC" (Disc Locked Content) to be released and is leaking all of it. He found 33 New Weapons and 2 Stages left to be "distributed". Twitter Link: https://twitter.com/nwplayer123.

I really only see one person here making a fuss and it's not Burb.

Roger, you really are just making a huge deal out of people doing nothing but disagreeing with you. Whenever people don't 100% agree with you, you tend to flip out and make a huge deal out of it and then accuse people of "taking sides" or something. You did it here just now with Burb, you did it with K. Rool, you did it when I voiced my opinion on Rosalina and you've done it countless other times.

Hell this isn't the first time you've said you're leaving. And each time you come back anyways, unrepentant and from there it's just a matter of time till the next blowup because someone didn't bend over backwards to agree with you. If anyone's become used to getting away with drama and/or being worshipped, it's you pal.

I actually think the general consensus is split, but most are leaning towards it being probably only 2 left. Dustin made a pretty good argument for it, check Source Gaming. I personally think that we will get more, but I think a lot are worried about getting their hopes up too much.

Because you used to pitch fits and call out anyone who said "(insert character here, usually Bayonetta or Geno) has no chance!".

It bothers me that you get so worked up over that, and then have the gall to say that RE characters cannot be in Smash for the same reasons people say Bayonetta cannot be. My intention was just to point out the hypocrisy in that.

I've been civil throughout this argument. You're the one turning it personal and making it all about us. This had nothing to do with me as a person or you as a person. Just that you can't demand we stop saying "____ has no chance", and then turn around and make a similar comment yourself. It's not right.

Let's not talk about Bayonetta again unless it's necessary, try to bring up a different example that's not Bayonetta next time Burb.
Uhhhh......no.

Bayonetta is the reason why I have a problem with Roger's comment.

If he's going to say "RE and MGS don't fit into Smash because guns and blood", while flipping out at people who say Bayonetta can't be in Smash because of guns and blood, I'm gonna say something. It's complete bull.

Maybe it's just me, but every time I see an argument regarding Smash speculation, it always ends up being like this. Most of the time.
Not sure how were arguments like in Brawl but whatever

With that regard, I don't think anything about Geno should be mentioned either unless absolutely necessary and it shouldn't escalate into arguments. It seems Geno is a rather "controversial" character here too.

Seriously people either need to learn to let opinions remain opinions or stop talking. Like I get people want to express their opinions and that's fine.

But there comes a point, which has clearly been passed, that one person needs to "be the bigger man" and just not reply. Because people cant do that this keeps happening here, and on other sites. Just not replying once and this ends and everyone can go back to being happy.

It's also funny because I personally don't care about speculation, but seeing discussion about characters and stuff is good.
I'm much more interested in competitive discussion, but lol that subforum.

You guys have it all wrong anyway. The RE rep for Smash shouldn't be a survivor or Nemesis.
It should be Wesker as a summoner.
He controls a pack of Hunters and Zombies, which he throws like Pikmin, and uses a Zombie Crow to recover.

I have the best character ideas. I should totally direct Smash Bros from now on.

Uhhhh......no.

Bayonetta is the reason why I have a problem with Roger's comment.
And the reason you have a problem with me and started this is a misconception anyways.

Which is a problem that I notice a lot with you. You commonly misconcept what people are even arguing about.

You did it just the other day with @ DMurr DMurr to the point he backed away from you because you weren't understanding what he was discussing and made it about what you wanted it to be about.

I said that you (and others) could be nicer in wording the way you're putting ''___ has no chance." posts, not that you can't say that. Because often those posts devolved into more so ''THE FANS ARE MORONIC, THE CHARACTER IS MORONIC." type things.

But because your favorite thing seems to be saying '"___ has no chance." you took it as me saying we should stop saying that all together. Which was NEVER what I said.

I argued being nicer to one another as fellow Nintendo fans and watching how we word things. Not saying that certain characters have abysmal chances or pretty much no chance shouldn't be said.

But being nicer to one another is something that clearly didn't happen since we're even in this place to begin with.

All I want is to be able to say my opinions without feeling like I have eggshells I'm stepping on. Every time I say an opinion it's really torn apart, and the only time I've felt I even deserved it was the K. Rool one and it was because I was a hypocritical ass who did exactly what I was trying to preach to you. I put a whole lot of fans into one bundle and called them assholes.

Bayonetta #trigger warning

Seriously, are going to have to shelf another topic of discussion because people can't handle having arguments over it? I don't think any character should be off limits from discussion, as we are just enabling people to be cry babies over their character selection. If I start throwing a fit when people say Inklings don't have a chance, can I get all Inkling related conversations banned? That way I can sleep easier at night. I strongly believe ALL characters need to be opened to criticism and scrutiny. If you are going to stop talking about one character, you might as well give up character speculation because where do you draw the line?

Maybe it's just me, but every time I see an argument regarding Smash speculation, it always ends up being like this. Most of the time.

It's always like this.

People get too into their character choices and don't want to listen to opposing views. It's all about their character being number 1. If everyone was more humble about their character choices, we would be far better off. I love 9-Volt, but I'm not going to wine when someone says he doesnt have a chance to be in Smash, because frankly his chances ARE slim.

Seriously people either need to learn to let opinions remain opinions or stop talking. Like I get people want to express their opinions and that's fine.

Must....

resist...

temptation.....

And the reason you have a problem with me and started this is a misconception anyways.
You flat out said RE doesn't fit into Smash because of the "grotesque violence", despite going rabid whenever anyone says Bayonetta (a character from a series filled with grotesque violence) has no chance.

I don't care what the context was. Unless it was a joke or some sort of reference, it's completely irrelevant. It was a hypocritical comment under just about any possible context, and thus warranted the response it got you.

Which is a problem that I notice a lot with you. You commonly misconcept what people are even arguing about. You did it just the other day with @ DMurr DMurr to the point he backed away from you because you weren't understanding what he was discussing and made it about what you wanted it to be about.
I did understand what he was discussing. I wasn't responding to the parts about Snake's chances because I already answered the question; he wanted to know why I don't think Snake has a chance of being DLC.

All my replies were directed towards him not understanding how cuts work, and the oddball theories he was coming up with (like "Sonic was gonna be cut but Sega bribed them to keep him in by giving them exclusive Sonic games!").

I had no interest in the points he was bringing forward, because none of them were valid points.

You called me out once for saying Geno is a rung below Shrek and Goku in terms of unlikelihood.

That's not a rude comment, Geno has pretty much every possible obstacle a character could have in regards to getting into Smash. He lacks mainstream appeal, is from a series that has a lot of representation already and plenty of candidates who should be prioritized over him, he's unimportant to his series overall and no longer appears in it, is owned by a third party developer that also owns some of the biggest franchises in the history of gaming.....

Yet that was enough to trigger you. You want to talk about walking on eggshells around me? Puh-leeze.

I argued being nicer to one another as fellow Nintendo fans and watching how we word things. Not saying that certain characters have abysmal chances or pretty much no chance shouldn't be said.

But being nicer to one another is something that clearly didn't happen since we're even in this place to begin with.
I've been nice this entire argument. I've never once insulted you directly. All I did was say that you're being a hypocrite (which people seem to agree with me on). I was civil throughout the beginning of the argument; people have even said that.

You're the one who called me names and talked about what a horrible person I am. :s

All I want is to be able to say my opinions without feeling like I have eggshells I'm stepping on. Every time I say an opinion it's really torn apart, and the only time I've felt I even deserved it was the K. Rool one and it was because I was a hypocritical *** who did exactly what I was trying to preach to you. I put a whole lot of fans into one bundle and called them ********.
You deserved it this time, too.

Practice what you preach next time, and everything will be peachy-keen.

I'd like to say I've never asked for any character to be off limits in discussion either.

I don't think Bayonetta's chances should be a subject we can't discuss.

Same for Ridley or Geno or anyone really.

It's just sometimes we use some really strong words that can be taken the wrong way by lurkers and what not when we're discussing these subjects.

And we cross the border of blunt logic into a land where someone can feel uncomfortable.

The funny thing is I don't even know how I've become ''Bayonetta: The Guy" in the discussion, because I'm pretty sure people like @ BluePikmin11 BluePikmin11 want her more than me?

I've got at least 20-25 characters I want before her in the confines of Smash even though I do clearly enjoy her as a character and her two games.

What I don't get is why anyone can dismiss a character for "not fitting into Smash Bros.".
Even though the entire point of the game is mash together a bunch of franchises that only fit together because they're owned by Nintendo.

I think it has to do with rules set by Sakurai or preconceived fan rules that are ''Sakurai's rules".

Like the RE stuff even starts/started because of the fact guns and real world weaponry are clearly an issue when it comes to Smash.

Something that also comes into play when discussing Bayonetta and Snake.

I became known as a THE geno hater at one point for the entire Ridley group after saying I didnt like him like. . .twice. Titles stick really easily. I hope being the viridi guy stuck.

The whole glory of smash is that it makes no sense. there is no other place mario can punch pikachu in the face and then proceed to be smashed by a aviary meme. :4falcon:

Smash Wars: The Character Wars.
post a pic and not the vid? why.

Lol, that 2-0 Mario gave me more confidence that the tiers in this game are way more balanced than Brawl's. That Shiek got wrecked.

Exactly. An Eternal Darkness character wouldn't be questioned for not fitting in because it's Nintendo's game.
At least not as much as Metal Gear Solid or Resident Evil...
I'd still feel it'd be tough to fit in as much as them. All three (Bayo, RE, MGS) have real world weapons at their heart.

And that's the issue when discussing characters who have a primary way of fighting in their games is a real world weapon that has a problem of easy access for children to grab a hold of in their home.

Which is stupid.

It shouldn't be the game's mission to say ''Guns are bad." for kids, but their parents.

so, completely changing the topic
i sort of actually... don't want there to be an official mother 3 localization
it'd either have to be rated m (cutting off a huge chunk of their audience) or changed drastically (alienating the fans and going against itoi's vision)

It's actually not that difficult to extract Wii U data. I learned from lurking forums, and it's only gotten easier now. Not dismissing, NWPlayer123 as she is extremely talented.

It's going to become worse in the upcoming months when the browser exploit causes the full system to be cracked opened.

I'm sure within a year the online play will be ruined on the Wii U due to cheaters.

I hope for the next game there's no "No Guns" rule because I want an Advance Wars character and RE character.
