I know a lot of people like Shantae (hey, I like her too), but I just don't see her as a plausible character request for Smash.

Replace her with Spyro.

I don't think a 3rd Party character will ever be considered unless they've made a serious impact on the gaming world, and left a lasting legacy. Sakurai has said many times that he won't allow just "anyone" in Smash. So I believe that boosts Spyro (who was a mascot for an entire console) far above any indie character.

I may be exaggerating but I really don't have much faith in Spyro.

It's actually interesting to think that maybe more DLC 3rd Party characters could be the way to go. They clearly build a lot more hype than regular characters. Ed Boon always said that despite complaints online, the guest characters sell a lot more than the regular characters. Even Scorpion outsold highly requested characters like Martian Manhunter and Zatanna.

Guest characters in cross over games are always a big deal, if the ends justify the means then maybe Nintendo will continue down that road.

Please God no. There are still alot more characters that are part of Nintendo should be playable before we get more 3rd party characters. I mean here are just few characters who deserve to be in before more 3rd party characters are added. A few examples include a 3rd gen Pokemon, Daisy, Dixie Kong, King K. Rool, a bunch of Wario characters, etc.

Thing is people keep thinking that we are running out of well known Nintendo all stars, but thing most of the characters who are on the roster aren't actually to the level of popularity of Zelda, Mario and Pokemon I mean when most people, who aren't Nintendo fans, think Nintendo they think that its Mario and Zelda. Many don't realise that Donkey Kong and Wario spin-off have alot to offer, but many people still thin DK and Wario are only part of the Mario series.

Also anyone want to place bets on the next Nintendo Direct?

I agree Spyro is a pretty big name in gaming.Or atleast was.He cant even keep his name in the title of his new series(when was the last time spyro name was in a skylanders title the first?).I also dont believe he was a mascot for any console.I say Crashand lara were more the ps1 stars than spyro.And by the time the ps2 and xbox new characters out shawed him.And the ps3 skylanders happened and he was once again outshadowed.

Honestly, I love Daisy. no, I'm not addicted at all But I know that she's not even remotely deserving. She can't even appear in her series' main games, let alone Peach's or Luigi's. It'll be a long time before we see any of her in Smash.

Though you have to wonder if they'd save any extra third parties as hype reveals for next Smash.

Though so help me god we better get every one back next Smash in that department.

This is actually something for Project M that I found on their subreddit and its quite interesting. Project M 3.6 is nearly about to launch, but I've seen comments in a certain thread talking about predictions of the new update that footage of it has been leaked.

The only thing is, I can't really find the footage as it seems buried in the depths of youtube. Now it could be named something generic and not have Project M in the name. The only thing that comes up is the Knuckles & Lyn leak. Does anyone know where the footage actually exists at? Just trying to get spoiled XD. Also, since we have been bare-bone dry since the Ryu and Roy Leak, I might as well post it here XD.

I used to hunt for PM leaks every now and then but I haven't seen any more footage past the Knuckles/Lyn/Isaac leak.

Honestly, I find the idea of adding new characters to Project M so tacky and disrespectful, might just be me though.

Project M as a whole leaves a bad taste in my mouth anyways, but then I'm incredibly incredibly tough on anything that sets out to ''improve" a game/movie/etc/something that was made by a bunch of people who did their best in the first place.

Could just be the artist in me that finds it disrespectful though.

Remakes? That comes from a different place. And usually comes from a place of love.

Straight up taking someone's thing and changing it around in your own way, because you didn't like what they did in the first place? Ehhh. Not the same.

Its just a leak I'm trying to find. Apparently it's just Ganondorf vs. Mewtwo in the 3.6 build. The cool thing it shows is the Project M Announcer's new voice clips XD.

They're going to add them at some point, but I think the next update is simply just that.

What happened to Icies? They weren't viable as in they were too weak, or too strong, etc...
