The Shin Megami Tensei and Fire Emblem crossover is looking pretty cool, even though it's a little heavy on the idol and cutesy side of things.

I love Persona though so it's definitely on my radar.

More firm evidence to the minority that doubts it that the NX is a full console successor to the Wii U.

My hopes for Smash is that the Wii U version is ported over with a polish-up, all DLC on disc, a better online structure, and some bonus content (200 or so new trophies, around 3-5 new characters, 7-10 new stages). This sounds a little paltry, but I think having Smash at launch is more essential than waiting 2.5+ years into the NX's life.

I'd love the next Smash to just be built on top of this one. The graphics and gameplay are top notch.

Tiki is once again a little girl. Seems to be a thing where a jananese work has a cutesy little gil, who becomes an adult in the sequel but then in any fuure appearances is a little girl again. See also, maria in Rondo of Blood/synthony of the night and Athena in the KOF series.

Best part would be, without the 3DS's limitations holding it back the Ice Climbers would return!

It'd be better than New Super Mario Bros. NX

Worked great for Casltevania!

I think Lords of Shadow, for all it's faults, did a good job of making Simon stand out.

It's odd though. Simon is the most well known protagonist in the series because he was the first but in therms of the game's story, he's just another Belmont.

I would be severely disappointed if they only ported over the Wii U content. There is no reason for an NX port of Smash to not have ALL of the modes and stages from both the Wii U and 3DS versions of the games. The combined stage roster alone would make me want to purchase it. Add in a few more stages, modes, and characters (including gimmick characters kept out due to technical issues, such as Ice Climbers, Chorus Men (maybe,) and a revamped Pokemon Trainer,) add in all the DLC, tweak the graphics, and it would make for a fantastic package.

Is there a thread discussing the NX anywhere?
Not at the moment, but feel free to start one in this subforum as that's what the Nzone is for.

I'm sure people in this thread would be more than willing to give their opinions about it as well, and all rumors will also find their way here eventually.

For once I can actually blame amiibo for something.

Where the hell were you during Mario Party 10?

That was the one game where people caught on and started seeing how BS amiibos were. It would had been better if it was something that brought cosmetic crap and being collectables but they went to far with some of their ideas.

Ugh, why does Yoshi's Wooly World come out in June for Europe, but October for the US?
Oh poor old Americans having to wait til October, its not like s Europeans had to wait forever before we got Earthbound and Super Mario RPG /s

Seriously anybody who complains about Europe getting Yoshi's Woolly World before America should honestly remember the amount of times that Europe had to wait forever to get some games, so count yourself's lucky

Oh, I totally forgot about that. Then again I didn't give a single crap about MP10.

The game is complete. Why hold something back for the sake of holding it back?

Are you really sure about that? Also maybe you should check the release date for the Europe against the schedule for America..
NoE delayed Captain Toad, so its sells weren't abyssal in December in Europe.

Edit: About the translation for Woolly World is what I'm talking about

Will anyone be my Battle Buddy in Metroid Federation?
For sure. I don't have an irrational hatred for a game that in no way replaced an actual Metroid title hasn't even come out yet. Also, it looks fun.

Plus there was Europe getting Smash Wii U last before anyone else despite the west getting it early before Japan of all places

Considering it comes out next week for Europe and Australia, two continents where English is a common language, I'm sure.

Hell, Japan gets it next month. Plus, the Wii U doesn't really have anything coming out between this time frame, so why create another drought?

Let me let you in on a little secret: American English is not the same as UK English and Australian English.

Again check the whole release schedule for America, you don't want it going against a really anticipated game for the Xbox One or PS4

I seriously doubt it would take that long to translate.

And yes, I know Arkham Knight comes out this month. I'm not saying it needs to come out this month. I'm saying there's no reason for it to be delayed for so long.

So, how many more DLC characters are we expecting for Smash 4? Just curious.
Honestly I was expecting 5 at most, but I'm thinking we may go up to 10, I doubt it, but its there.

Edit: To clarify I was only expecting 5 DLC characters at most overall. Now that we actual may exceed it, I'm thinking the total could jump to ten because it would be a nice round number, but we may only get 3 more at most

I don't know who came up with the idea of "Nintendo is going mobile in the next 5-10 years"
No they won't lol.

People don't realize just how long Nintendo's been doomed for. They've been on the brink of leaving the hardware biz since the 80s, according to random gamers that don't actually know anything.

Also, gamers have always been gamers.... people being terrible and opinionated is nothing new.

Here are some newsgroup posts from the the early days of the interwebs. Enjoy!

Nintendo Anti-Trust Investigation

The reason Ninrakedough is so popular here is that the average dweenie
never played any of the really good games of the early 1980's and
last owned an Atari 2600.
This makes Joe Hydrocephally really believe
the games he plays on his Nintwobit are major technological coups. After
all, they are alot more fun than the pirated games he has for that PC
Clone he bought at K-Mart.
The other reason that Nofundo is so popular is that they advertise,
ADVERTISE A D V E R T I S E until you want to shove a Tetris where
the sun never shines.

However, Nintendo in Japan is a different story. It came out two years
before it was released here and had NO LOCKOUT system. Technologically,
it's comparable to the Atari 7800, except I think that the Atari has
better video quality.

The Lameboy is just an extension of their luddite policies extended
to the hand held. If Atari makes enough Lynxes, they might actually
get beaten although this is certainly a long shot due to Atari's major
psychological problems.
...

Gameboy is dead 1993

It's funny that people think "LameBoy"'s are cool JUST because they have so
many cartridges for them. So does that mean that if a Porsche and a Ford
Escort were the same price, that I should buy the Ford Escort *JUST* because
there are more Ford dealers?

Personally, one good game in color is worth 100 good (although most are crappy)
games in (yawn) black and gray. (I suppose I could also rag on the fact that
the Lameboy screens need flashlights to play in low light...).

Why is Nintendo so bad - 1989

There are quite a few ****ty games that HAVE the Nintendo seal of approval.
Who judges these things anyway? Most of the newer Nintendo games that I have
seen have bland, graphics that flicker horribly.. My 13 year old brother can
finish most of these games in 1 night. A very big disappointment....

Nintendo Vs Sega - 1989

I don't dismiss them as simple minded, I dismiss them as ignorant. There
is a difference. These people don't realize what an obsolete piece
of crap the NES is. Just like there are hoards of people who still
believe PC clones are the pinnacle of Earth technology...

Got this directly from a thread I had to dig up on VGCHARTZ:

Wow, makes today's game journalism look rational and entertainingly written. I can tell the writer laughed out laughed to himself for every terrible pun. Scratch that. They're not even puns. Puns are the lowest form of comedy and there ain't none of that there.

I had a hard time getting into it, it felt kinda... boring and just there. And I wasn't a fan of the whole A B X Y thing in fights, I felt it made button inputs kind of annoying.
It does start slow, but I don't think it's terrible, the button inputs are hard at first. I'd rate it equal to dream team, and would rate BIS as my favorite in the series.
I don't hate Partners in Time, but it was the weakest of the four M&L games in my opinion.

It felt too short, the Bros Items were a step down from the Bros Attacks of the previous game, and EXP distribution was a bit poor (it was very easy to wind up severely underleveled).
I can agree with this, as stated, I'd equal it to DT, I do like bros attacks more then those it
Pit was just boring and felt like a drag to play.I'll get a lot of hate for this but sticker star is better the game.

On an unrealted note i expect 5 more DLC characters.Unrealstic yes.it's really unrealistic. But 2 more pre-ballot characters and than 3 ballot characters just feels righ to me
Eh, I wouldn't say a drag to play but that's just my opinion. As for DLC, I could see that happen.

Nobody knows. I doubt even Nintendo has any concrete plans on a limit. Software is a beautifully malleable things, in that sense. The real hurdles are the groups that would be funding and/or consuming any potential DLC.

I'm going to say they'll keep making DLC as long as it merits the investment.

Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if they did a Kickstarter for a character or two. Let the noise-makers, among the community, put their money where whichever place the noise is coming from (locations may vary).
