I know Nintendo is not showing everything they are working...
And other consoles are coming...
But that is not how market works. FE 7 (I don't even like the game) was so much HYPE with so little effort.
They don't have a date... don't have gameplay... nothing.

Zelda SHOULD be presented. Don't show games more than a year away is cool, when you have games to show.

Funny because Sony announced 1 good, new game and it was a kickstarter. Bandwagoning is a terrible thing.
If I'm to be honest, yes, Shenmue 3 looks good, but other than that and FF VII, it wasn't interesting imo.
E3 this year wasn't interesting at all. Few surprises here and there, but hey, it's E3.

Now one game that does have me excited is Fast Racing NEO for Wii U.
This game seems to fill the void F-Zero used to have and it does look like Mario Kart 8 in terms of detail put into it.

Yeah. The Nintendo direct did not deliver like most folks wanted. No Mario Kart 8 DLC. No dropping Wolf for Smash Bros. No mainline Metroid or F-Zero...

For most people, Nintendo did NOT win E3. Some people will argue that MS conference was better then Nintendo's.

Sony definitely wins. But only because the Smash info came out on SUNDAY instead of Tuesday. That should have just been in the direct to help prop it up. That and the odd release lineup for the Wii U really does make me feel as if Nintendo is going to replace it with the NX sooner then later. :/

I wasn't really impressed by Sony's conference, honestly. Neither I was for Microsoft/EA/Ubisoft. I only watched it to waste my time for the remainder of yesterday since there was nothing else to do.
Definitely a lackluster E3; hoping 2016 allows the light to come by and impress everyone.
Let's step back and realize that one of the main things people are praising from the conference is a kick starter. We are super excited to have the opportunity to pay money to maybe get a good game.... and it's not even a Sony console exclusive!

Let that sink in!

Also, I can't believe that I'm the only one that found the Last Guardian gameplay to be dreadfully boring.

Guys, something to be potentially hype about:

Oh boy.. the salt will be rising.
What's actually funny is that one of the guys there said that he was disappointed Slippy didn't get a puppet in the presentation, but then said something along the lines of us seeing a lot more of him later (paraphrasing).

I've hyped myself up for E3 in the past multiple times and got disappointed, but I didn't get as hype this year and am left far happier, at least with Nintendo. I'm still a bit peeved that Rare/Msoft teased Banjo and didn't reveal it.

There are some great looking games coming out, and that's all that matters to me.

I thought this e3 was decent. Relaxed. I mean...Nintendo did day they were not going to have a big e3. It would only focus on 2015 games. So idk what you guys were expecting lol. I think you hyped yourselves up for nothing.

There was a problem fetching the tweet

Iwata tweeted that he realized people are disappointed with the direct. Will work on improving people's expectations this year.

^ Seriously, this.

At least Nintendo didn't tease the fans forever with cryptic hints about a new Metroid, and then unveil Federation Force, like Rare did with Banjo and Sea of Thieves. Rare flat out trolled their fans.

Is anyone else getting the feeling that a lot of the features in Happy Home Designer will end up in the next full Animal Crossing game?

It almost feels like they're testing out features for the future. It's a lot more robust than I thought.

The Last Guardian was boring to me too. It's was more so about "hey it's finally coming!!! rejoice!!" than "check this out!".

Glad they are doing this. Hopefully people drop the salt.

I'm calling it now: Metroid Prime: Federation Force will be hugely despised until launch but will eventually build itself a cult following and become the type of game that people are constantly dissapointed that Nintendo will not make sequel to despite it selling so poorly. I just get that feeling from it.

I think people need to not look at it as "the new Metroid game" and take it for what it is: a (hopefully) fun multiplayer shooter set in the same universe as Metroid. It's a spin off in a franchise that I've long said could use more spin offs (and universe building.) I just really wish it was a Wii U game.

Nice. I hope you're ready for all the Paper Mario in Smash leaks. He's totally not main universe Mario now.

Nintendo LITERALLY said the same thing about the DS. Before the DS launched they called it a "third pillar" and said that it would exist alongside the Game Boy hardware line.

http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/news/9250/nintendo-reveals-third-pillar

(I really wish we have gotten Punch-Out instead of Mario Tennis.)
I still doubt the nex would be the same with the diagrams and info we know as of now. I'll believe it when it happens.

You thought they were going to talk about it, even though they specifically said they weren't going to?

Edit: I don't mean that in a condescending way, I'm wondering what you mean I guess.
I made it before I heard that. I stand by my Bingo sheets.

Could be referring to the Star Fox Zero gameplay.

.....unless Slippy is Smash DLC.....

Which I'd be toad-ally ok with provided Wolf comes back. :troll:

Happy Home Designer doesn't bother me. It looks right for an AC spin-off.

Mario Party inspired spin-off though? Not so much.

I thought it was awesome that Miyamoto said his favorite Star Fox character was Slippy.

In regards to the Metroid spin-off:
It's trailer video currently has around 400 likes and 4000 dislikes.

One of it's top comments:
I think it's safe to say Metroid is not in its Prime this decade. This Federation game just feels Forced
Man.. that's bad. It is pretty dumb of them to think that they can drop a spinoff to a popular series 8 years later without a sequel first, though. Like, what did they expect?

Unpopular train of thought:

While most say that AC: AF is probably going to be a bad game, it probably wont, its just that Animal Crossing needs a main title for the Wii-U and not this party game. Despite that, itll probably be a cool game with its own nice features and mechanics.

I'm actually really liking the new ways the villagers interact with the world in this Animal Crossing designer game. Watching them shop is so cool. Oh and they go to school!

Also there's so many of them around at once. I don't think any previous AC game has seemed so bustling and active before.

On the bright side, it doesn't have the car.

mario party 10 had great minigames but people hated it because of the board game aspect...food for thought
