This year's E3 was lacking, not just Nintendo's. Why are people so salty like...my god. Settle down.

There's salt all around. Except for Sony. They're the only ones people are praising lol.

And the fact that Smash DLC and EarthBound Beginnings (and don't get me wrong, I LOVED both of these announcements) were the best announcements (and weren't at E3) really goes to show how poor of a job Nintendo did at E3. Even if they had both been in the conference this still would have been lackluster due to the fact that one of them is a re-release and the other is DLC for an upcoming game. With them not showing up at the Digital event, the show was a complete waste.

I am finished with Nintendo games chronologically speaking after 2015. There is nothing that will get me a NX at this point because I don't have faith Nintendo will do better with it. Retro gaming, PS4, and maybe PC gaming are my gaming future.

I wasn't really impressed by Sony's conference, honestly. Neither I was for Microsoft/EA/Ubisoft. I only watched it to waste my time for the remainder of yesterday since there was nothing else to do.
Definitely a lackluster E3; hoping 2016 allows the light to come by and impress everyone.

I can't imagine how hard it must be to have Directs every two months, and also have a lot of interesting stuff to show at E3. You guys realize we've gotten THREE great games within the past year, right? MK8, Smash Bros, Splatoon (And some would say Hyrule Warriors).
They've had a lot of good stuff recently, especially with all the Smash Bros and Splatoon DLC, so I think they can have a little break with huge AAA games coming out for Wii U.

People are like "Wii U is dead" just because they didn't show anything outside of Super Mario Maker, Star Fox, Xenoblade X, SMT x FE and the like.
NX is not replacing Wii U, nor will it replace the 3DS. At least that's one thing to look forward next year.

I mean, we don't have confirmation she's not in the game. We don't really know anything about the story yet, and they barely even showed Slippy even.

All in all, I'm just glad Nintendo didn't have a foul mouthed woman forcing memes down my throat like it's the funniest ever (and the less about Derulo the better). Nor going the EA route and dangling Star Wars on a stick. Because of course the best way to advertise your game is to kill the hype with nonsense.

I'm calling it now: Metroid Prime: Federation Force will be hugely despised until launch but will eventually build itself a cult following and become the type of game that people are constantly dissapointed that Nintendo will not make sequel to despite it selling so poorly. I just get that feeling from it.

I think people need to not look at it as "the new Metroid game" and take it for what it is: a (hopefully) fun multiplayer shooter set in the same universe as Metroid. It's a spin off in a franchise that I've long said could use more spin offs (and universe building.) I just really wish it was a Wii U game.

Nintendo LITERALLY said the same thing about the DS. Before the DS launched they called it a "third pillar" and said that it would exist alongside the Game Boy hardware line.

Federation Force looks okay.

If I think of it as a spinoff.

It this was during the Wii, we'd love this.

Just gotta think positively.

And hope we get a mainline Metroid soon.

Metroid Prime 3 came out in 2007. It makes no sense to make a spin-off to it now. Or at least to announce it first....

Funny because Sony announced 1 good, new game and it was a kickstarter. Bandwagoning is a terrible thing.

In regards to the Metroid spin-off:
It's trailer video currently has around 400 likes and 4000 dislikes.

One of it's top comments:
I think it's safe to say Metroid is not in its Prime this decade. This Federation game just feels Forced
