Well, nothing in particular happened at Sprites Inc (well, except maybe ACE stepping down as leader of one project in favor of its original creator), they mostly just seem to be really busy with their fan game projects. But that's neither here nor there.

That being said, I know some of what happened, but for the sake of safety, I'll PM it to you.

Spoiler: Attack on Titan Season 3 Episode 18 spoilers

This episode felt like the prime example of WIT Studio improving on the source material through the adaptation into an anime format. Having no music throughout the entire episode up until the final scene when we learn who won the Serum Bowl is genius; it accentuates just how solemn and emotional the decision to decide to Erwin and Armin's fate really was! Not having the opening sequence play in the beginning also set the tone for what was coming in the episode.

And with no music, one can really appreciate the voice actors and voice actresses giving it their all! Shoutout to Yui Ishikawa for her performance as Mikasa in today's episode. Hearing Mikasa cry as Hange held her struggle made the moment more emotional and painful to watch! The same can also be said for Yuki Kaji's performance as Eren, especially in the part where he cries and tells everyone how he used to have aspirations like Armin to see the outside world but that changed to hate after what happened in Shingashina that day. There's just something about hearing the pains of those characters in an anime format that it makes the scene really come to life, capturing what it really felt like for them to put everything on the line to bring their closest friend back to life.

A bit before the Serum Bowl took place, I like how mad Jean sounded as he cursed himself for letting the Cart Titan and Zeke take Reiner away. It's another moment where you have to give props to the voice actor for making the scene feel authentic.

Moving on from the voice actor and actresses capturing the true pain and emotion of what was going on, I really liked how the anime changed Bertolt's death from the manga just a tiny bit by having him smile as he noticed Eren's group in the distance as he was about to be eaten. That smile wasn't present in the manga, but here, the smile shows Bertolt finding a small ray of hope that maybe someone will save him from being eaten... but of course that smile fades away when he realizes they are not going to save him and instead they are just standing there, leaving him to die!

Can we also talk about how karmic Bertolt's death was? Remember how Bertolt, Reiner, and Annie killed Marco? They left him to be eaten by an incoming Titan with no way for him to escape, even with Marco screaming, crying, and begging to be saved. Same thing happens to Bertolt here, only now it's Eren's group leaving Bertolt to die; Bertolt can do nothing but do the same Marco did back then. Now THAT is karma!

Speaking of Bertolt's death, I wish the anime included the panel from the manga where we see a tear coming from Reiner's eye while he is on top of the wall shortly after Zeke and the Cart Titan saved him from Hange. The anime only showed the final panel of Chapter 83 with Zeke, Reiner, and the Cart Titan combined with the pan shot behind them and skipped the panels featuring Zeke sorrowfully looking at Reiner as the latter cries. Watching the Colossal Titan fall pained Reiner in a way, and he felt more pain knowing that they were leaving behind his close friend to be left for dead.

I remember writing about the Serum Bowl a while ago back when the chapter for this event came out a few years ago, but reflecting back, I remember how painful it was seeing the deliberation between whether to save Erwin or Armin. As sad as I was to see Erwin go, it makes sense from a narrative standpoint: Erinw's goals capped at the basement, and he didn't think about what would happen after it (even the flashback in today's episode showed this). Erwin's character arc also concluded the moment he decided to lead the suicide charge to throw the dream aside in order to give meaning to future soldiers with his and the other Survey Corps' sacrifice. Armin, on the other hand, had a goal that extended beyond the basement thanks to his dream of seeing the world and beyond, so in a way, him living on makes sense, especially when considering the future arcs of AoT.

Great episode overall! I feel like the Serum Bowl definitely played out better here than in the manga, and it was much more emotional too. I'd say this definitely a contender for the most emotional episode in the series.

Looking forward to next week's episode! The long-awaited basement reveal will finally be adapted for the big screen!

This can be seen as a moderately crazy E3 prediction but I think it's finally time for another Wario Land game.

It will introduce Waluigi as a playable character and the title will be Wario and Waluigi Land. It can be played 2 player co-op but also both Wario and Waluigi are selectable in single player. They have slightly different abilities but overall the game functions the same for both of them.

Yeah, but his only major appearance (if one can call it that) is as a Mystery Mushroom costume in Super Mario Maker. Even Daisy has more than him. I think they don't really feel like doing anything more with him than what he currently has.

The hope we all have is that Nintendo will finally pull the trigger and do something with Waluigi since the fan outcry for it has been very loud for a while now. The whole Smash drama of last year's E3 only amplified this imo so Nintendo has to know the fans want bigger roles for Waluigi.
