oof, that's unfortunate. I personally love the Switch Pro controller and use it anytime I play at home or in the rare event I go to a Smash tournament. Though I am almost always playing on the train so I stick with the joycons most of the time. If you ever have the cash for a Pro controller, I highly recommend it, even for Smash.
It's been forever since I've watched any of the different Yugioh series out there.
Speaking of anime, I've finally gotten back into watching anime. I recently finished Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, along with completing Monster last month and re-watching Death Note for like the...4th or 5th time lol
Hey, I've played that game a lot! Who do you main?

I've seen Death Note 3 times! Big fan. Since the first time, I always stop after Episode 25 though :^)
That's fair. But, to be honest I don't find episodes 26-37 to be that much worse than 1-25. 1-25 is still the strongest point of the show, but 26-37 are good to see Light's descent into being beyond help, along with getting more character development out of the police task force. Seeing Light's father, Soichiro, getting more into the action...and Matsuda growing in maturity and becoming the MVP of the task force in episode 37 was really cool to see. And, Mello's character is underrated in my opinion.
I think the reason why so many people dislike 26-37 is because of Near, really. People see him as a watered-down L. And, while L is a more interesting character, Near doesn't really have any traits that make him inherently annoying. He's quiet and calm but brilliant like his predecessor. I think people place a lot of hate on him simply because he has a really tough act to follow up because L is such a universally-loved character, being the quirky anti-hero of the show.

Near is the big problem for sure, though I also thematically like the idea of the story ending with Light in the position he was at the end of ep 25. Near is just less cool L who gets to win because he came second. It's frustrating.

The anime is also faithful to the manga, so in the original source material the same thing happens.
But in the Japanese movies...something a little different happens, where it ends at the same approximate spot in the story...but the ending is slightly different. Spoiler for the movies below:
L, the "good guy" of the story...actually wins and defeats Light. Then, Light is killed by Ryuk in front of L, Misa, the task force, and his father Soichiro.
To think that when I saw Akira for the first time in the opening montage, I briefly thought that he was Kamui. In a way, I turned out to be right.
Nice story. Though I hope I can get Flower, Sun and Rain at some point before starting The 25th Ward, since they're part of the same Kill the Past universe.
Also, it amuses me that characters from the Silver Case series have apparently shown up in Travis Strikes Again, so they got a Nintendo appearance now.
That said, I played some New SMB games on the side. As of now, NSMBU Deluxe is the one I haven't beat yet.
like, it's better than my joycons at least, but i was fine with the joycons. the right stick kept messing up and would stop me from doing actual moves because it was occupying it like i was in the action of doing one. but like, the grip is weird and i don't recover in the right direction sometimes.
what the **** do i do man thats 40 dollars down the drain essentially
I've been playing Star Fox Zero for weeks now. The controls just clicked in naturally in very little time. I was worried about it because of the middling reception it got, but things went past that. It's very fun when you master the controls. The only time I was frustrated beyond not meeting the score requirements for medals was one of the bosses, and that was just the first time.
Nothing on Switch beyond I guess playing Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels and sparse MK8D and Bayonetta warmups.
so i went on my college's website after not being sick and i just realized that i missed the window for picking my dorm room cause i was sick the whole week
what the **** do i do
i live 7 hours away from this place what the **** do i do
Hey hey, a little Pokechu told me there was a new thread to post in. What games are y'all playing on your Switches lately? I'm playing Bayonetta 1 for the first time. Quite a blast to play!

Been practicing a bit of Tekken 7 to get a decent combo with Nina. I'm nowhere near pro level, but I found something I like.
Geyser Cannon, 2, 1, 2, Down+2, 3, Blonde Bomb. You can also end that combo with Forward+4,4 for a tiny bit more damage, but Blonde Bomb's easier to land.
Even though some of the sample combos are valid choices, they feel weird to imitate, I guess I just have to practice them more.
I have no words to describe just how phenomenal seeing Levi vs Beast Titan was animated! Imai just knocked it out of the park animating that entire fight sequence, especially with shots like this!
Not surprised Levi shoving his sword through Zeke's face at the end of the fight was censored considering how brutal it was in the manga, but the anime still managed to capture the satisfaction of the scene with a bit more detail in the clip showing the blade through Zeke's mouth, almost to the point you could make out the shape of the blade on his cheek.
I was a bit surprised the anime adaption decided to go the extra mile and show Levi beginning to attack the other Titans Zeke orders in a last ditch effort; the manga temporarily ended Levi's scene with him drawing his next set of blades without showing his next few Titan kills, as if to add the suspense that Levi may or may not make it out alive. I liked the way how the anime panned out Levi killing the remaining Titans at Zeke's disposal as we see Floche waking up with no music playing: it certainly adds a somber tone as we see Floche being the only one alive while walking around trying to find possible survivors.
Speaking of Floche and looking for survivors from the Beast Titan's attack, damn, the anime made Marlowe's death much more sad! The sad lullaby-like music combined with Sugita's voice acting really gave Marlowe's final moments much more impact. Gotta feel for poor Marlowe as he realized he was going to die right then and there thinking his good friend Hitch is perhaps resting while this is going on (only for viewers to tragically learn she wasn't and is waiting by the window, waiting for his return... only soon she will learn his fate).
Meanwhile within the walls, Armin finally comes up with a plan to take down the Colossal Titan once he notices the Titan got very thin after its most recent attack because it used up a lot of energy. Armin and Eren deal with Bertolt, while the other members of Eren's group deal with Reiner. The return of Hange was great, and so was the anime adaptation of Mikasa landing the final blow on Reiner: Just look at that animation!
And of course, we can't forget the Colossal Titan battle this episode! I like the added touch where we see Eren's perspective of Armin from inside his Titan, giving us a glimpse at how Titan Shifters notice their surroundings.
Armin sacrificing himself to Bertolt was quite the spectacle too! The flames from the Colossal Titan added quite a nice flair to what was going on, going as far as even obscuring what Eren was doing at the base of the wall in a way that looked more mysterious compared to what the manga showed. Armin getting burned alive was quite grizzly in anime form too. The anime ends up showing the blood leaving his body in an evaporating state as he is burned alive, with the sheath of his sword burning away in quite an epic fashion.
I also noticed that the anime made it look more like Armin's body "floated" down after his 3DMG wires finally snapped away, as if the excessive amount of steam from Bertolt's final attack allowed Armin's body to not make such a dramatic 60 meter fall, so I guess it helps make Armin surviving after all of this a bit more believable now that the anime seems to imply the steam made his fall a bit more "gentle" to the point it's not the kind that should kill him right away.
And then we have this epic moment: Eren landing the defeating blow to the Colossal Titan!
Man, the anime made it look great! Such a powerful moment: Eren was the first human to actually try taking on the Colossal Titan, and now, he is the one to land the final blow! Not only that, but he lands the finishing move not in his Titan form, but as a simple human! Truly a symbolic moment of humanity finally gaining the victory over the Titans by killing the embodiment of the force that changed his life 5 years ago!
Looks like the anime took the beginning of chapter 83 where we see the flashback of how Eren and Armin first met as kids and put it at the end of the episode, and it was a nice touch: the transition from little Armin's face to the now burned-to-a-crisp Armin was ghastly! The flashback definitely worked better as an end of the episode deal with that new effect.
I'd say this is tied with the last episode for being my favorite episode in the series, as well as one of my favorite episodes in the anime overall! Today's episode adapted one of my favorite chapters so well and made many of those scenes even more impactful than they already were!
Remember when you said you wanted me to tag you for the episode when the Serum Bowl takes place? Well, it is now confirmed that next week's episode is the Serum Bowl, so you can begin your countdown for that episode!
Though I recommend you watch today's episode because it transitions into what will transpire into next week's episode, not to mention today's episode adapts the famous Levi making monkey sashimi scene, and it looks SUPER good animated!
It appears as if the NintenZone is going to give the Ultimate Social a new, refined run for their money. Maybe this time it will be active enough so that I can stick around here!
Pretty much playing RE4 blind on the Switch and the controls/perspective are nauseating, but it's hella addicting... the internet seems 50/50 on if these are actually "tank controls", and I'm not sure either.

A LOT of people are pissed about it not at least having the motion controls from the Wii version as people loved that. It's also 10 smackaroos more expensive for no reason
It was Aquarosa mainly because of the target view. I'm supposed to pay more attention to the cockpit view on that one. Monarch Dodora is very easy as long as I try to evade its wings and whirlwinds. The only oddity I have with the game is that it's a reimagining of 64, which already got a 3DS remake. I'm not too big on story anyways, but I'd like to see a sequel expanding on the control scheme. The only problem is that if it's for Switch, the twin stick arrangement may not work as well. Corneria 2's score medal is tricky to get. It'd be much easier if I had a Falco amiibo, but I don't.
I was very surprised at how easy the controls clicked in, because people often said it was terrible since they say you have to look back and forth on the screens. I figure that's not the case since you can just press -/Select and it swaps the viewpoint, letting you play in a similar setup to Splatoon. I talked with someone I know from Miiverse (Lylat Ace) and he told me it wasn't necessary to do that, and he turned out right.
A Pokémon press conference airs tomorrow at 6 PM PDT and a Pokémon Sword & Shield Direct airs June 5th at 6 am PDT.
Good thing I didn't put anything Pokémon related on my E3 Bingo card. But if something as big as Pokémon isn't going to be at E3, that suggests Nintendo might have a lot to show at E3.
Shame work will prevent me from seeing the Pokémon Direct live.
