That said, I think the renewal thing is a constant thing or something. Cause I think this was done with other IPs like F-Zero as well. I don't think it's anything to get too hype about. Although props to those if IS does make a new one.

Edit: Anyway, Merry Christmas. Family got my an $50 E-shop card, so I got the Fighters Pack with that. Pretty cool.

Sami, Max, and Nell aren't Spirits which I thought was weird given how prominent they are in the Wars World Trilogy. And for that matter, there's no Days of Ruin characters as Spirits either.

I also don't think Spirits is a hard deconfirm. If they wanted Andy in the game, they could use his AW1 artwork as his Fighter Spirit while his Primary Spirit retains the AW2 design. That being said, i'm willing to accept just about any AW character at this juncture. Beggars can't be choosers.

You're right in that F-Zero, Golden Sun, and Rhythm Heaven got renewed this year. Sin & Punishment as well I think. Which is why i'm not expecting this to amount to anything really. Of course as I mentioned, the naming of "Advance Wars" is suspicious given that the "Advance" title has never been used in Japan and that this is coming after Smash Ultimate's release.

Honestly, if they just gave us a Mii Costume as DLC i'd take that as a victory. The amount of nothing we got in this game is egregious from no Mii Costumes, Music tracks, and losing it's AT.

Andy has been acting as my main Grab type Spirit for now as he has three slots. I have too many Attack types and almost no Defense types though

Try to find one of the following Defense Spirits:
-Young Zelda(OoT)
-Bulborb
-Elincia
-Chao
-Frog & Snake

They are 1-2 Star, but they all Enhance into 4-Star Spirits, except for Chao, but Chao's enhancement's Power rivals that of Legend Spirits. You should at least be able to find Bulborb, Elincia and/or Chao in early World of Light IIRC.

What does Celebi even do?

Great Autoheal. Every 5 seconds, you recover health.

Yeah Andy's my Primary Spirit as well (to the surprise of no one lmao) and I have 3 slots equipped. One is the one where you start the match with a Bo-bomb, one that powers up projectiles, and another that powers up sword moves or something.

All of which comes true for my boy.

The Autoheal spirits in general are like, endgame stuff so get ****ed nerd. Though Ness' Dad was always reliable too, it boosts all your stats at the start of the battle

I beat the story with Celebi too! Though, the primary spirit that I used, was my trusty ALBW Link.

I got Dragonite really early on, I think from Classic, and I wanted to use him in WoL because they're on my Let's Go team but because he's two stars right at the start he got outclassed by so many spirits :'^((((((((

I played like the first 80% of World of Light using Alm and Celica exclusively as my primary spirit, and didn't even bother with the weapon triangle thing because Alm and Celica are neutral and can just ignore it. I only dropped them once I started getting 4* stuff like Soma Cruz and Sirius with higher stats and better skills.

Had a mostly adult Christmas this year. Got books, kitchen ware, and seat covers for my car. Only game I got was Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap.


As a special piece of holiday news, the VG History Foundation has dumped/released the prototype for Sim City NES. It's not often a lost Nintendo developed game is found, especially since there is no other game like it for the system. Except for Dr. Wright, there are a fair number of changes compared to the SNES version including the artstyle & music.
