To play as Chrom, first you gotta get a copy of Fire Emblem Awakening.

You must make a magic circle, place the game in the middle and say the magic words, "Chrom is the best written Fire Emblem ever!"

After saying this three times you will summon the Opossum Opossum Fairy.

He'll give you a free copy of Fire Emblem Warriors. Then you must get Chrom to level 99.

Once you do that, you go back to Smash Wii U and choose Robin. Go to training and spawn Smash Balls. After you hit with Robin's Final Smash three times, the game will create a wormhole and suck you in.

You are now in a parallel universe where you can competently play as Chrom in Smash Bros Ultimate.

I've actually been compiling a list of all the Legend Rank spirits in terms of power. There are 85 Legend Rank Spirits and (as far as I can tell) two Ace Rank Spirits of comparable power (Maria Renard and Hero Chao)

Big Boss was my strongest Spirit for quite a while, and in terms of Team Power, the 5th Strongest overall.

The top 5 spirits are Galeem, Dharkon, Galacta Knight, Akuma and Big Boss, in that order.

However, Galeem, Dharkon, Galacta Knight and Akuma don't have Skill Slots, meaning Big Boss ends up stronger in terms of Team Power when given Support Spirits (Galeem and Dharkon have 13,640 Power, but Big Boss ends up with 15,399 Power with two Legend Rank Support Spirits)

The strongest Grab Type Spirits (in terms of Team Power) are Mega Diancie and Isaac (Dark Dawn), who have several characters above them in terms of base power, but because they have Three Slots, they can technically get stronger than them. By this logic, the strongest Spirit is Soma Cruz, a Neutral Type who has three slots, and he's the 16th Strongest in terms of base Team Power (Lyn is #15).

Cutie J is the second strongest Attack type, and Zelda (Ocarina of Time) is the second strongest Shield Type, both have Two Slots, meaning they're technically more powerful than Akuma and Galacta Knight.
Considering Attack/Defense sub-balance and abilities, IMO there's probably a lot of nuance beyond raw numbers mixed in as well, to where some with lower scores overall might end up being more viable by leaning into a build or just plain having a more broken or universally useful inherent ability.

I'd imagine the rankings for the strongest attack/defense on an individual level are a bit shaken up. Galeem would presumably do well in both of those lists since both stats are 6000+, but for a "best defense is a good offense" type player Akuma hits well into the 7000 range on Attack and Hades isn't too far behind, to say nothing of the latter having an attack boosting ability and two slots to work with despite not exactly having the Team Power Akuma does.

IMO for anyone willing to go into the wild and wacky world of Spirit fighting build's probably more important than raw numbers once you get into the Legend range, or at least the upper half of it give or take. Granted Galeem's ability is really weird so hell if I know how balanced/imbalanced they are even outside of raw numbers.

I really ought to get my driver's license soon. I have all the money I need to buy Ultimate, and my dad is just stalling me for no reason at this point. He's been doing this for weeks now.

This evening my stepmother's family has come to town celebrating holidays. If y'all are interested and can spare a few seconds, time for show-and-tell...

PC060032.JPG

My adoptive mother, age 54, is the second one from the right; her two-year-old grandson (and my step-nephew) is in the middle; his great-grandmother, age 80, is to the left of him; finally, my step-cousins are on the far ends. The one on the right end becomes 11 years old on Christmas Day. His mother, age 42, is on the far left.

Sa, I was going to do something similar to Zinith and do something of a reveal of my IRL self but maybe later...like Christmas morning.

The EShop is having a (laughably bad) Holidays sale and there was this one game for literally one cent so I decided to use my Gold Points for something.

Yeah, these are very important points.

Big Boss has Metal Killer, Soma Cruz has Giant Killer, Zelda (OOT) has Assist Killer, Galacta Knight has Sword Attack ↑, Deoxys (Normal Forme) has PSI Attack ↑.

It all depends on what you need for that fight.

Not to mention that Primary Spirits increase in Attack and Defence (by 10%) when paired with a Fighter from the Same Series (fun fact, Mii Fighters counts as Smash Bros. characters, so they boost Galeem and Darkhon's power).

Hades has 7006 Attack, but when paired with Pit, Dark Pit or Palutena, that becomes 7706 Attack, which is boosted further by his Trade-Off Attacks skill and whether or not you have a Style taught to him.

By the way, the best defensive Spirit is by far the Absolutely Safe Capsule, it has 10'000 Defence and 0 Attack, with no Skills.

I grabbed a pork loin, opened it with a big *** knife and stuffed a pound of ham, bacon, salami and chorizo inside.

So it's been a while since the last time I took a look at Spirit fusion and the funny/neat referential requirements and I thought I'd check again after going through a big amount of World of Light.
  • The Moon from MM requires the Majora's Mask spirit and a support spirit. Referencing how the mask took control of a vessel (in this case being a random support type spirit)
  • You get Scizor by fusing a Sidestepper from Mario Bros and a Zebesian, who are similar to Scizor in appearance.
  • Phosphora requires Elec Man and Rotom. Not much to say here, Electric Robot + Electric Ghost = Electric Waifu?
  • For M.Bison you need Vega, Sagat and Balrog. Obvious reference to those being his strongest and most loyal men, as well as the bosses you face before him in SF2.
  • Nabbit from Mario comes from a fusion of Duster from Mother 3 and a support type. I haven't played Mother 3 but I heard Duster is or used to be a thief at some point.
  • So Cranky Kong needs Cyrus and Reese from AC and his wife, Wrinkly Kong. The AC couple are upholsterers, so it's a clear reference to Cranky's rocking chair.
  • Jet the Hawk from Sonic is a fusion of a Pidgey and Akari Hayami from 1080 Snowboarding. Kinda explains itself, Jet is a bird that competes in Extreme Gear, which are similar to snowboards in appearance.
  • Demise from Zelda just needs Ghirahim and The Imprisoned, just like in Skyward Sword.
  • From Bayonetta comes Rodin who is a fusion of Brewster from AC and an Aegislash. Referencing how he's a weapons dealer in Bayo.
  • The twins, Yun and Yang, from Street Fighter require Mio and Mayu Amakura, another set of twins, and Young Cricket from WarioWare, who happens to be a martial arts practitioner.
  • Proto Man requires Dr Light, Roll and a Shield type. Being one of the few Spirits I've seen where the generic requirement actually adds to the reference, as Proto Man is known for having a big shield.
  • Viridi is made from a Xerneas and Alraune from Bayonetta, as well a neutral and a support spirit. Just a heavy nature reference.
  • Because Naga (maybe?) isn't in the game, Ninian is needed to make Tiki. But Medeus as well, whom is another Manakete, I believe.
  • If you fuse an Attack Type, Takamaru, Sakurai Samurai and Tac, you make Samurai Goroh. Goroh being a notorious criminal, it shouldn't be surprising that Tac is needed here.
  • The last one for today is Dr. Eggman, who requires 2 Grab Types, Dr. Crygor from WarioWare, Tamagon from Devil World and... A Chansey. Yup, they went there.
I'll do more of these sequentially just because it's fun to look at but also because I don't wanna make one super huge post.

Really busy. Two jobs got me beat
Really? Dang, good luck. Where do you work?
How old is the Zelda in Smash Ultimate?

Not memeing. Really asking.
Since she's 18-19 in the canon games aside from the "toon" games, and she has a model similar to BOTW, I would assume 18-19.

Nintendo eshop has always been kind of mediocre. It doesn't really get decent until like end of the console's lifespan.

Astro Bears reminds me of that bootleg Kung Fu Panda movie for some reason. Forgot the name of it.

Just played through Sonic's Classic run.
Sonic's final boss is Master and Crazy Hand. Now I understand.

She... Is? I thought it was a Tsukihime game so that wouod make either Srcueid or Tohno Shiki the main characters.
Arcueid and Tohno Shiki are still some of the main characters, but Sion is considered to be the main heroine of Melty Blood. The first Melty Blood played more like a visual novel with bits of the fighting game aspects thrown in here and there, and she and Shiki were the two leads.

The main heroines vary with each game in the series: Arcueid in Tsukihime, Len in Kagetsu Tohya (the game that takes place between Tsukihime and Melty Blood), and Sion in Melty Blood. With each passing title, the last main heroine is still a prominent main character, just not exactly the one the story revolves around.

I think Eggman needs Grab Types because he's known for putting animals in robots; you know, "grabbing them up" so to speak. Tamagon is there because "Tamago" is Japanese for Egg.

Xerneas is the embodiment of Nature in Pokémon. "Alraune" is the German word for "mandrake", a type of Plant. The Nature Reference runs pretty deep for Viridi.

I'm interested in why Madama Butterfly needs Shanoa.

I'm actually surprised that the Kid Icarus Medusa isn't summonable by using the Castlevania Medusa.

Dark Samus's White and Red alt is the correct alt for Dark Samus and anyone who disagrees will be posted in my theoretical dunk'em memo.

Is the Smash competitive community usually like this because I just saw someone share on ResetERA part of what I'm assuming is a Twitter thread of the thing last page and

LOL competitive dude from last page said:
Cool, I won the biggest brawl tournament and I too won evo. I purposely ignored this exact thing to show you how ignorant you are being. I have actual smash experience and you don’t. That’s the thing here. All you have is melee expierence and that’s not saying much.
LOL dude that has beef with him said:
"i was only pretending to be [LOL ABLEIST SLUR I'M CENSORING]"
yeah youre [LOL PROFANITY] done. Go have a meltdown on someone else.
I'm absolutely giggling at both parties involved here

The fanfiction clique of the fandom made up almost entirely of a combination of [BLEEP]posters, literal children, and one really prolific fart fetish obsessed guy is leagues more mature than the competitive community if this is any indication, and that's not a cross-section of people you want to be measurably less mature than LOL

Palutena Temple would be a much better stage if it was only the left half.
It'd be better as the new Race to the Finish stage. At least then it'd be remotely decent as a stage.
Y’all foolish to think such a sinful thing to the rebuilt home of the Goddess of Light and her illiterate cinnamon roll...plus...PT is big so that it’s easier for Pit to gain advice on life through the guidances
Something for praline praline . Assuming this hasn't been seen yet.
