Why though, most links are boring.

A little late to this discussion, I think it's because Link often has just enough personality show through to be charming while still being a silent protagonist so people can get into the role of the character.

Characters aren't soley defined by how deep their characterization is or how interesting their backstories are. Otherwise the likes of Mickey Mouse and Mario wouldn't be some of the most recognized characters of all time. Sometimes people just like characters because they're cool or fun.

In Link's case I feel in some games he has a ton of personality and charm without saying a single word, in others not so much.

WW, SS and MM showcase how charming he can be, especially Wind Waker. Ocarina of Time was the worst offender with how wooden Link was portrayed there, but that was the first 3D game and Nintendo, for as much as they got right, were still experimenting and finding their footing. Twilight Princess is another where I feel he's kinda dull and BotW is a bit of a mixed bag for me.

XD It's alright, I am used to that little confusion. Not just here, also on DA. Some people would think I am Italian male because Andrea is used for both genders there, and because they also go with male because I have a male character all over my profile (Ridley, Rayquaza ( l know, genderless, but I take it as male) and Shay Cormac to name a few). I think someone told me once that discovering I am a female was as shocking as discovering Samus was one in the first Metroid. XD It got me.

I know the stereotype is basically that /r/fireemblem is a bunch of prudes while /r/xenoblade_chronicles tends to be more, let's say, "frisky," but the general difference in reactions between the two subs with the whole Camilla/Mythra censorship thing is honestly hilarious.

A good portion of the Xenoblade sub is in full-on rage mode while most of the Fire Emblem sub is either appreciative of the change or ****posting Gamers Rise Up memes.

Um yeah, and I can see why.

On Twitter though, I don't see any rage but rather some "alternate" censorship where I think Nintendo should step up their game a bit if they really want to censor Mythra:

Why so? And you are seeing one here lol, I am obviously not a fan of the Mythra spirit in Smash Ultimate.
This is one of the reason why I never want Smash to be rated for E10+, they could have go with T rating like Brawl, but unfortunately that isn't the case. Moreover and yes, this is a really bad speculation... and you can even call this me just joking but, can't believe they spend some of the time on altering these when they can save these time to work on more playable characters...
