At neutral, she has 33 Atk and 39 Spd.

Add in Death Blow 4 and it becomes 41 Atk on player phases.

A 41/39 offensice stat spread, without even factoring in the weapon, is actually really damn good.

Double Lion also grants her an effect similar to Brave Sword or, in more meta terms, Reinhardt's tome.

But unlike that tome, Double Lion is a skill, not a weapon. So this grants you the option of having a build only Brave Celica can have.

Give her Firesweep Sword+, which will boost her attack by 15 (thus giving her a highly respectable 56 on attack phases) for absolutely free quads in most situations. However, she loses the ability to counter anyone with that sword, so it's pretty risky.

Alternatively, her Royal Sword is also a good option. Grants 16 Atk, 3 Spd (thus giving her a 57/42 offensive spread on player phases) and will make the special cooldown quicker if an ally in nearby, which is actually something you have to do if you want to preserve Double Lion, since she needs to have her health at 100% for it to work.

So basically, give her a good healer and the girl can Double Lion constantly.

Long story short, Brave Celica is a very good unit in her own right. If you wanna keep using her as fodder, be my guest. Sometimes, a Death Blow 4 could suit someone else depending on what you have. Not here to say killing priestesses is dumb, just informing you that Brave Celica isn't trash.

Speaking of, who got a Death Blow 4 in your units? Because you saying you only fodder her for that skill implies you got her once.

A. What was it? If it's not -Spd, it was workable.
B. Natures (or IVs) don't matter all that much. Unless it's something like -Atk Reinhardt, it's not gonna make a unit trash.
