How do you know the team didn't take a break or something since the last update. Give them a chance. Also, this stage has a lot more going on than any of the other dlc stages. Most of them were just ported from another game. You could also argue the Miiverse stage is complex, but they advertised that much longer before its release than this stage so they obviously took time to make it.

Even if they took a break, I still doubt that they would only pool all their resources into 1 stage. I've kind of gotten sick of all the Mario stuff this year, I want stuff from other Nintendo franchises like Star Fox and Donkey Kong, and Wario land. Besides I'm most likely not going to play the stage normally since I usually play in For glory.

Oh and not liking the stage personally doesn't mean a thing. I play for glory mostly myself, but a lot of people play "for fun" or simply offline with friends/family.

Updates on the same day =/= Amount of time.

These are paid full time employees being paid an absurd amount including cover costs (Insurance, building maintenance, etc) - they're not session musicians. This means that all the time in the Studio they can and will use, whether it's generating content for the current games or for future Smash games.

Not everyone is excited for Mario. On a side note, I went amiibo shopping and the only amiibos I found were Mario ones, also the amiibo sign just has Mario characters on it. Nintendo isn't just Mario, give us the other Nintendo amiibos, nobody wants the Mario ones. The only thing from Mario that I want more of in smash is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALUIGI!

I have to agree. Dumping all the dlc characters at once, while nice, has basically left us with very little content in the long run. I wish they had spaced them out instead.
